I am excited to join the Workaway community! As a recent college graduate with a degree in Environmental Studies, I want to get out of the city of Boston and into a more slow-paced, natural environment. I hope to learn more about the environment practically instead of through study.

I find joy in spending time in nature, reading, and exploring. I am originally from the central coast of California with where there is beautiful beaches, coastlines, and forests. I currently work as a marine educator and would love to share my passion for the ocean (especially whales!) with you. I'd also love to talk about what we are reading at the moment.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I recently completed a Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies during which I learned a lot about plants and environmental management. I have some gardening experience from growing vegetables at home.

I grew up with two cats and a dog so I have experience taking care of pets. In my current job I care for two flow-through salt water tanks with multiple types of crabs, Atlantic lobster, snails, flounders, rock gunnels, sea urchins, sea stars, and blue mussels.

I have worked with children extensively in afterschool programs, outdoor education, and other environmental related children's programs. I have experience designing and teaching curriculum for elementary through middle school age students on nature, the environment, social-emotional skills, and climate change.

I am a big game person, playing card and board games is my favorite way to spend time with others and in my experience great for getting to know new people.

I especially tabletop roleplay and similar storytelling games. If you are interested I'd love to teach you and even run a game of dungeons and dragons while I am there!
