Description
After being on farms in Norway and the US, I returned to the farm that I have been running for 6 years to implement some of the inspiration I received. I started managing the farm as a community-ecological project, but today the orientation on the farm is more ecological-business-oriented, without the community. I sell pruning pulp (mulch), wood-chips and compost and I want to expand the range of products that I sell that serve gardens, especially ecological gardens. The work is focused on products but also on cultivating and arranging the farm to make it a greener and more pleasant place to live in.
So I’m looking for a special person who feels called to live and work in a quiet ecological farm in southern Israel.
This is a small eco-farm located in Moshav Noam, surrounded by open space, fields, and relatively close to the city Kiryat-Gat. This place is for people who enjoy simple living, connection to the land, independence, and personal space.
We work alongside the principles of recycling (Recycle, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Re-gift, Recover). Water we use is fed to the plant, we recycle garbage that can be recycled, we have a composter for food scraps, composting toilets, and we make a lot of use of material that is thrown on the street instead of purchasing new material.
The place is suitable for independent people, since the work may be done alone and you will have a lot of free time.
Also the place has a variety of fruit trees.
The expectation is for 3-4 hours of work per day, 5 days a week. And the rest of the time is yours.
Food shopping according to a list once a week.
If this resonates with you, feel free to reach out and tell me a bit about yourself 🌿

The work is hands-on and grounded, repetitive and meditative:
- Working with wood chips and mulch – packing and transporting them.
- Cutting branches, and putting them into a small machine, to produce wood-chips (for mulching, not heating).
- Transferring mulch and wood-chips to bales.
- General farm maintenance - organizing and cleaning, lawn mowing and maybe construction and wood oiling.
- Digging tunnels for pipes
Most tasks are done outdoors, in nice weather, mostly independently, with daily guidance.
I would love having people with experience about permaculture for the long-term.

The main kitchen, toilet and shower is shared and nearby:
- Kitchen - a spacious, clean, and well-equipped communal, with a strong emphasis on cleanliness. Food preparation is done independently.
- Composting toilets - fertilize the trees (no smell at all), and are.
- Shower - with water recycling – sinks and shower water irrigates banana trees.
Autres infos...
There are some nature tracks and sights to explore around the area such as caves and archaeological sites from ancient times. It's a half an hour drive, or 1 hour by bus, this place and to the beach. Every Wednesday there is an open market you can visit in the nearby city, Kiryat-Gat.
We also have a library with books in English and you can be creative, do crafts as you wish.
Transportation: There are buses from and to Tel-Aviv and Beer-Sheva in the junction nearby. I can provide a scooter to get to the junction, which is a 10 minutes ride to get there. Buses arrive there every 20 minutes during rush hours and every 40 minutes during late hours (until 12 pm).
Getting to Tel-Aviv is 1.5 hours by bus and to Beer-Sheva is 45 minutes.
