Description
We live in the beautiful Catalan pre-Pyrenees, in a tiny medieval village that was abandoned in the 1950s and is now slowly being brought back to life by a handful of families. Perched at 1,200m, our home offers breathtaking views over the valley and Lake Sant Antoni. The area is peaceful and remote, perfect for anyone who loves nature. You’ll find endless opportunities for walking, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, rafting, kayaking, canyoning, and exploring the nearby Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.
We’re a creative, nature-loving family: I’m a musician and also work remotely in events, while my wife is a yoga teacher with a passion for pottery. We grow our own vegetables and live in a self-built eco-house, where part of the space is rented to tourists mainly during the high season. Our 14-year-old son goes to school in a nearby town, about 40 minutes away.
We speak Spanish, English, German, and Catalan, and love sharing cultures and languages. Life here keeps us busy, so we’d be delighted to welcome workawayers who could lend a hand with gardening, DIY projects, household tasks, or general maintenance. In return, we offer a cozy stay in one of our rentals—an apartment with a lovely green area in front—and we’ll happily share our knowledge, stories, and a slice of life in our little corner of the mountains.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

In our home, cultural exchange is very natural: we share meals, conversations, and everyday activities, as well as excursions and get-togethers with the local community. We like to share what we know—languages, music, yoga, pottery, rural and ecological life—and at the same time learn from the customs, stories, and experiences that Workawayers bring. We believe it's a mutual exchange where we all gain new friendships and lessons.

We’d be delighted to welcome workawayers who can lend a hand with gardening, DIY projects, household chores, and general maintenance in our private home and garden, as well as occasionally helping out with school trips or shopping. Some tasks we’ll do together, while others you’ll handle independently with our guidance and support.

We offer one of our rentals as accommodation for workawayers — a cozy, fully equipped apartment with its own bathroom and kitchen. The space is open-plan and designed for a couple, so it comfortably sleeps two people who don’t mind sharing the same room.
Whenever possible, we love to share meals together as a family, though at times this may not always be possible. The apartment gives you the flexibility to cook for yourself while still feeling part of our home.Autres infos...
Because of the school runs, we’re often on the move, so catching a ride with us is usually no problem as long as you’re a bit flexible. Since we live in a remote area, transport is something we’ll need to support each other with. The nearest village is about a 25-minute drive away and has both a train station and bus connections.
