Description
¡Hola!
We’re a family living in Northern Galicia with our two little ones—Zen (5 years old) and baby Nui (8 months). Over the past years, we’ve poured a lot of love, time, and energy into restoring this place. One of our projects has been rebuilding a house next to our own—what once was a ruin is now a solid home with three floors, a new roof, new windows and doors, and a finished top floor that’s cozy, bright, and offers stunning views over the surrounding nature.
Since welcoming our newborn, we’ve realized that we simply don’t have the time or hands to finish this house ourselves. That’s why we’re now looking for one person, a couple, or a small family who would like to live in this house and, at the same time, invest some of their time and energy into finishing it.
The remaining work mainly focuses on finishing the bathroom and the kitchen, plus some final touches. The structure is done, the top floor is ready and very comfortable, and the house already feels like a home, it just needs that last phase to become fully functional.
Our place is surrounded by cliffs, surf beaches, and wild forests, and we live on 1.5 hectares of land inspired by permaculture and regeneration. While the land and garden are part of our daily life, the main exchange here is really about co-living in the house and helping to finish it, rather than regular garden or maintenance work.
You’ll have your own private house, spread over three floors, with lots of space, light, and privacy. Electricity and fresh spring water are available, and you’ll be living right next to us, but with plenty of independence.
We share our life with a friendly dog, cat, and chickens, and we live in a small, vibrant community. Our neighbor Laida is also building her home next door, and close friends Ben (a cook) and Nina (an artist) are often around for shared meals, projects, and good conversations. Life here naturally includes surfing, climbing, BBQs, jam sessions, sailing days, dancing, creativity, and connection.
Chris is an adventurer at heart—sailor, survival guide, photographer, and nature lover. Simcha is a midwife, nurse, and dancer with a deep love for movement and balance. Our goal is to give our children an adventurous, grounded, and joyful childhood, close to nature. Zen is a happy and open-hearted 5-year-old, and little Nui is just starting to smile his way into the world.
If you’re someone (or a couple / small family) who enjoys hands-on building, appreciates living independently in a beautiful place, and feels inspired by the idea of helping finish a home while living in it, we’d love to hear from you.
Happy thoughts,
Chris, Simcha, Zen & baby Nui 🌞🍃🌊

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
Living with us means becoming part of a slower, more intentional way of life. Travellers will learn from hands-on building experience, community-based living, and raising children close to nature. There’s space for cultural exchange through shared meals, conversations, and everyday life, as well as outdoor adventures like surfing and exploring the Galician coast.

Aide
The main tasks are completing the bathroom and kitchen, plus some final interior details.

There are as well trains and busses going but not often a day!
