Description
Our co-living spaces are all located right in the central of Taipei City. In our colorful and cool designed place, you can feel relax and friendly atmosphere. Everyone of our team is unique, fun, and happy, joining in our team will give you very special experiences of exchange and make lots of great friends!

If you are a backpacker, student, traveler who wants to work while travelling, we offer free accommodation in dormitory, big living place, and speed wi-fi.
Aide
We are looking for friendly, responsible volunteers to help at our co-living spaces and you are expected to have fun here! We need helpers mostly for housekeeping and maintenance for our property.
We would like every resident to have a wonderful stay at our coliving spaces so we want lively and energetic people to be In our team.
The volunteers help 1 shift per day, 5 shifts per week, from 13:00-17:00, 17:00-21:00 (1 period of them) for cleaning, which means 2 days off a week.

We hold events sometimes and have staff's dinner once a month. The volunteers will have at least 2 day off in a week so you can visit the beach, mountain, and country side when you are free. There are also many activities in town and you will be busy in exploring our amazing city!!

i stayed with Lexi and Wilbur for about a month and a half and overall it's been the best workaway I've done -- Not only was the listing accurate and the experience good but there were also no negatives like I've encountered in other workaways I've done.

The work is exactly as you'd expect and relatively straight-forward, in your first day or two… read more you'll likely get guidance on how to do things and where everything is located in the different locations and you'll receive a schedule that allows you to plan out your week/month around the different shifts/locations you'll be cleaning around taipei. You can expect about 14-18 hours of work a week, including transit time as once you get a hang of things and get used to working with the other volunteers on your shift(s) other than the once a month cleaning per location which might bump up work hours for that week by an extra couple hours.

Living-wise I only stayed in the office/staff-location which is near Hsing Tian Kong Temple. If you're Vegetarian/Vegan like myself this location is absolutely exceptional as there's tons (10+) of great restaurants nearby including buffet-style places, street food and small shops, take-out boxes, and proper sit-down restaurants that are entirely veg within a 10-minute walk of the location, a few being literally outside the front door of the location. There's also some cheap local fruit vendors a couple minutes away.

Non-food wise the office/staff-location has everything you need -- Washing machine & Drier as well as room to hang-dry if you like, a great shower, a toilet with a bum-gun(!!), a good kitchen-space, and a place to work online or use a labtop if you want to do so there. There's also some places to sit and read or just chill if that's your thing. Nearby there's a few libraries to work at as well or study if you just want another quite place to go during the day to work/study.

As for the more personal/social elements, in my experience other volunteers were friendly and pleasant company and often your time-off will mix with one of them so if y'all want you can plan day-trips together during that time.

Lexi also hosted a few events during the time I was there, some for just volunteers some for all more than just volunteers (yoga/eating-out) but unfortunately I didn't make it to any due to my schedule and misunderstanding the time/location one time (opps!). While Lexi and Wilbert mostly lived their own lives they were always friendly and kind, occasionally buying taiwanese snacks/treats (never got to thank them for this, wouldn't have tried them otherwise) and putting them out for us volunteers and checking in if everything was well/good.

Overall after volunteering multiple times in multiple countries this was the best workaway I've done and so long as you don't mind cleaning attentively for a few hours most days then I'd definitely recommend it. In fact, I was going to volunteer again before I left taiwan, but they were all filled up for the time I had remaining. Maybe next time.
