We had a real great time, we met inspiring people and learnt a lot about biodiversity and nature. We spent 4 weeks, had vary varried activities such as cuting small invasive trees in the woodland, planting seeds, preparing the soil for spring planting, cutting grumbles, painted corridors and rooms. We also helped to organize events such as film

Trish and the others of the team like Ana, Michael and Shiobanh were really kind and we learnt a lot about irish society, culture and politics, even if they weren't permenantly there. We also had a very nice room . We completely enjoyed our stay and hope to be back one day.
Marie and Alexander were a fantastic addition to our team. Lovely people, thoughtful and generous with their time and their contribution in the garden, the house and the woodland. Extremely reliable, hard working and thorough,we loved hosting them and were sorry to wave them off. I would highly recommend them and hope they will return to see us

This was my first experience as a volunteer, and I have no words to describe how incredible it was. I've truly made meetings and memories for life. All the people are so nice, you can talk with them about everything, sharing your culture and your knowledge.
This is an amazing long term community project, which is to show that it's possible to

The place is really calm, situated around wonderful landscape and easy to access by bus. It has been really welcoming and I want to say thank you again for allowing me to live this experience. It has been heartbreaking to leave this place and this people, in particular Siobhan, Trish, and the other workawayers.
It was an absolute pleasure, and thank you. I would recommend this place at 120%. I miss you all. Love you :)

I spent five weeks as a volunteer in this wonderful place and, both among the staff and the volunteers, I met great people that I will never forget. I’m very happy with the two months I spent there :)
I liked that the work was varied : taking care of the pretty garden, cleaning, tidying or cooking in the house, and other little things.
People are real nice and committed, on occasions work can get hectic but there is always someone to help. I could find a good balance between work, social

Having a nice little bedroom with a sink was cool. The surroundings are green and pleasant.
Thanks to all for that experience !
Laylaa was with us for two months. She was a wonderful addition to our team, and was such a positive and thoughtful person to host. She did super work in our garden and helped out with events. We would happily host her again as she would be an asset for any organisation.

Zoe was with us for two months and we thoroughly enjoyed hosting her. She was a great member of our team and worked really hard with us in the garden and the house and helping with events. A lovely entusiastic person who we would happily welcome back.

I only spent two weeks and a half here, but I loved my time there. The work was chill and for the most part I was in the garden, with some days helping in their rental property (cleaning rooms and prepping meals).
The volunteers and workers were lovely and it is beautiful. I felt at ease and at home.

Maria was only with us for just under three weeks but she was a lovely addition to the team and we really enjoyed hosting her. She worked very hard helping in the garden and also with events and we would happily have her back some day as our only regret was that there was not much creative work for her to do at the present time.
We spent a little over 5 months here and really enjoyed the grounds, learning to work in the garden and helping out on the various jobs around the house, like painting, cooking, helping with events, etc.
There were nice quiet times when we were able to make the most of the calm serenity of the place and then at times it would get busier with

Other than the nature and peace of the place, the best part of this workaway was meeting some of the amazing people that congregate here, between volunteers, staff, workawayers and visitors we met wonderful friends we hope we'll keep in touch with for a long time.
Laura and Arnot were with us for 5 months and during that times they volunteered in our community garden, with decorating, events and housekeeping. They were valued members of the team and will be missed.

In february/march I stayed here for five weeks. They were absolutely unforgettable and amazing. Both the region, the place itself and the team and other volunteers are wonderful and all have a place in my heart now.

Noortje was a lovely addition to the team. She worked hard both in the house and the garden, and was great fun with that fantastic laugh of hers. I would recommend her as a reliable, pleasant and hardworking volunteer and we hope she will visit us again one day.

I spent the entire month of November here. It’s a wonderful place. It operates like a hostel where you have a simple room and share three showers and toilets, using the kitchen as if it were your own. It’s very clean.
Regarding work, I spent half my time in the garden and the other half indoors. The garden work, guided by Trish, was not

The place is very big and beautiful. You’re in the forest, yet you still have the sea. The village of Leap is a 15-minute walk away, offering several pubs and restaurants.
I met many lovely people, including Workawayers, employees, and volunteers for the NGO. Trish always made sure I lacked nothing. There were about five other Workawayers there while I was.
I loved my experience here, and it greatly improved my English skills. I thank Trish, Siobhan, Ana, Mihaela, Agbon, and Kevin for their remarkable work, as well as all the volunteers I met. I’ll come back, I miss you all ! See you soon !!!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

This was my very first workaway and after these 6 weeks I feel like I am leaving home for a second time.
Thanks to Trish and all the lovely volunteers in the Community Garden I learned lots about organic gardening.

This workaway experience was my first, and it will be hard to beat. Indeed, it was far beyond even my greatest expectations. I came as an older, experienced ecologist on sabbatical, hoping to be involved in meaningful projects and collaborate with other professionals. It was perfect for me as I was able to work on projects without supervision,

Sometimes there were tasks that everyone needed to be part of, such as helping in the kitchen or garden, and everyone pulled together to keep things running smoothly. At times there were markets, speakers, events, concerts, films etc being put on by the community. Altogether a really great organization to be involved with, and the people I worked with, both volunteers and employees, were all absolutely fantastic and I certainly hope to see them again one day.
It might not be for everybody, and any interested Workaway folk should be sure to have a good chat with Trish to understand the expectations. You should be self-motivated, and happy to cook for yourself. If you are looking for a highly social and structured workaway experience this might not be for you. But the location is quite magical, a glorious old building by a beautiful stretch of wild ocean, amazing woods and lovely towns in the area. My room had a lovely view, and was quiet and peaceful.
I would heartily recommend this host, especially to people who are really dedicated to helping the environment and combat climate change. It is a great opportunity for both young activists and professionals to share their knowledge while working on meaningful restoration projects, and really needs dedicated caring people to keep the organization thriving. Thanks so much to Trish, Mark, Ana, Siobhan, and all the other lovely folk that made this experience so fantastic. Go go!Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.
