  Description

  We have two lovely ski lodges located on the side of the ski run in Nozawa Onsen in Nagano prefecture Japan. We use these lodges most of the Japanese ski season for hosting family and friends. We are not a commercial lodge. Workawayers won't be requested to help with any business-related tasks, paying guests or in spaces used by them, as we don't have paying guests.
  
  We are looking for some people to help everything run smoothly whilst friends and family visit. We require workawayers who can stay for 3 months from mid December to mid March.
  Our ideal candidates would be a couple or two friends who can commit to the season alongside a qualified ski instructor with the flexibility for a short term or full season arrangement.
  
  Due to the unique location of our lodges, it won't suit people who are looking for a ' party atmosphere ' or want to be in town with other season workers .
  If you want to have first tracks every powder day and are willing to be flexible with your duties . We guarantee you will ski more than any other worker in the village ,and also live in the best accommodation on the mountain .

  Japan is a fascinating country to visit and Nozawa Onsen is a lovely traditional onsen town. There are many free onsens (hot springs) available for use in town, beautiful old temples and lots to see. The Nozawa Onsen ski resort also offers lots of variety of terrain as well as back country opportunities. We offer a season pass for all helpers. A car might be available at times so you can explore further afield. World famous snow monkeys are also only an hour away .
  There are lots of great little eateries and cafes in town.

  Aide

  Tasks include, but not limited to:
  cleaning the lodge
  driving a snowmobile
  doing rubbish runs to town
  taking laundry to town and collecting
  changeover of rooms when friends and family leave or arrive
  collecting shopping from town and taking via snowmobile up to the lodge
  taxi-ing family and friends up and down on snowmobiles
  helping people with setting up skis, skiing
  dealing with any issues which arise in the lodge
  
  We try to give you flexibility with your timings so you can make the most of good ski days. Generally the help can be done at any time of the day. However we appreciate when you check in fully before assuming you can go off and ski on any day.

  Hébergement

  Both lodges are very unique. In either location you will have your own room. In regards to meals, sometimes it will be make your own meal from food provided. At other times it will be jump on the roster of shared meal making with us and friends and family. We all help clean up after meals too. We generally try to eat healthy and organic where possible.
  We don't accept workawayers who smoke or drink much alcohol. Strictly no drugs.

  We are looking for a couple or two friends for the 2025 - 2026 ski season for 3 months, from about mid December to mid March.
  
  Additionally we are also interested to hear from a qualified ski instructor (for either a short term or full season).
  
  We enjoy being with people who are happy to become part of the family, join in outings, family meals, play with our grandkids etc.
  
  We cover your expenses, your season pass, food and accommodation.
  
  We enjoy hosting workawayers who are sensible, responsible, responsive to feedback and like to go the extra mile.
