We are a family of four (kids are 7 and 4) that chose a life learning from and with the rhythms of nature.
In the countryside of north-saxony, the region of Dübener Heide, we care for a piece of land with an historic water mill and a surrounding huge garden area. Although we almost finished a little farm house for our living, the more than 200 years old mill still needs restauration.
Here we are creating our soul projects - a wilderness school that fosters nature connection and an association to help re-build the water mill to a seminar venue - while tending to our kids and the land we are living on.
In our garden we grow mainly herbs and fruits (our main ressource of vegetables is from the CSR we take part in).

We love to give you some insights in our small farm living in a rural area of Germany with a great amount of ecological awareness. You can learn a thing or two about renovation of old buildings, fixing, maintaining or upcycling.
But mainly you might benefit from our background as wildernis and nature educators, might take part in the wilderness courses that we offer, get in deeper connection with nature and explore with us all the facettes of our earth's magic.
And if you want to learn the German language, we are happy to help you with that.
Ce projet peut impliquer des enfants. Pour en savoir plus, consultez nos directives et conseils ici.
There are many things you might help us with, e.g. maintening the outdoor area of the tipi camp, gardening, mowing grass, harvesting and processing fruits and herbs as well as putting your hands on various building projects. Or you could help with tending to our dog and take her for a walk, cook some meals or involve yourself in one of the various building projects such as renovating our attic, building an outdoor kitchen for our community area or a tiny house as another possibility for accomodation.

Your home will be a either a comfortable camping trailer in our garden with an extra sleeping area, running water and 2-flame gas cooker or a guest room within the mill. In the colder season the trailer can be heated. Water toilet and shower for our guests are provided within the mill building.
We like to live together as in a comunity which seems to be the best method for us concerning meal preparation. That means you'll prepare your own breakfast and dinner with the food we provide.
We will prepare one warm meal during the day, mainly lunch and mostly vegetarian and with greens and fruits from organic farming (and sometimes including meat/fish from ethical sources). You are invited to share this work of cooking and bring in your ideas and hands from time to time.
Sometimes we also enjoy eating only by ourselves or in the circle of our family so while you are here we again and again have to figure out what suits us best during the day.
We live very close to nature, so it's best if you like to take walks in the woods, listen to old oaks, follow animal tracks or love to hike.
We can also offer a couple of bikes. The big river Elbe is quite nearby and is accompanied by a proper bike trail. 5 mins away there's a bus stop which connects you to the nearest towns Torgau and Bad Düben (both 20 mins.). But busses don’t run that often. From Torgau you can take the train to Leipzig (ca. 40 mins.)
We have internet/wifi.
Our labrador dog Paula is curious and loves to play and work (although she might beg you insistently, please do not throw any sticks because she`s suffering from arthritis), so even if she appears big and black she's just a clown with fur..
