  Description

  Our hotel is set right in front of the beach in the heart of the small surf town El Zonte, El Salvador. Carefully designed with a commitment to both environmental sustainability and community responsibility, we strive to be a different kind of hotel, setting an example for thoughtful, locally focused development. We are passionately devoted to providing our guests an incredible and memorable stay, and at the same time carry out deep respect and consideration for the natural environment and the local community. El Salvador has point breaks gracing most of its 300km coastline. It is home to two world-class waves: Punta Roca one of the best right-hand points in the world as well as Punta Mango. Right in front of the hotel we have a righthander point break, which makes our hotel very attractive for surfers. Another nice bonus is the warm water all the year around, which ensures that you can surf in board shorts or bikini only.
  
  In addition, we have our Spanish School right at the hotel. Therefore: Learn Spanish, Practice Spanish and Live Spanish.

  We want you to share your work experience with our staff, thus bringing your knowledge into the community, as 80% of the staff is local and does not have educational background. In return you will work right in front of the famous El Zonte Pointbreak and get free accomodation in a hostel nearby. As only a part of our staff speaks English, you will have the chance to practice Spanish on a daily basis and take discounted lessons at our Spanish school. As you live in a small Surf Town it will be easy for you to connect with the local community as well as to make friends with surfers and travelers out in the water or at one of the skate bowls. We can get you in contact with a good surf coach or help you to book a surf skate lesson to improve your skills in the water and on land. There are guided tours to experience the capital, volcanos, waterfalls or our coffee country.

  Aide

  We need people to share their work experience with our staff and to show them what kind of service is requested in the western world. As we seek to constantly improve our standard and the relationship with our guests, we are looking for experienced volunteers to support us in two positions. One is concerned with the hotel, working together with our marketing team, helping in organizing events and collaborating with different teams. Moreover, we are searching for an experienced person to assist in the restaurant as a waiter, runner and host.
  We are open for people who are experienced in other areas of hospitality to help us improve our guest experience, so please also contact us if you have skills not mentioned here.
  The idea of the volunteer program is to share knowledge and experiences and train and encourage our staff to interact with our guests. We are looking for outgoing people with a hands-on mentality who can easily connect to and interact with guests as well as employees.

  We offer you free accommodation as well as two meals on your working days. Your room will be shared with another volunteer and is located just one minute from the hotel and the beach. There is also a pool which you can use. Moreover you will be able to use the surf boards from our rental for free and can join in on the yoga lessons taking place at our hotel three times a week.

  There are small shops in town where you can find the barest essentials, otherwise there is a big supermarket at La Libertad. Busses to La Libertad, El Tunco and San Salvador are running at a regular schedule and are safe for travelers. In El Zonte we have different small restaurants and a very good Pupuseria, probably the best all over El Salvador. Pupusas are the local food here in El Salvador and for only one dollar you will find many different variations.
  You have the best opportunity to surf, because right in front of Palo Verde you will find one of the most consistent pointbreaks all over the country. There are surf lessons and coaching available and at the hotel we offer yoga classes three times a week. At the other side of the river just a few walking minutes away you will find a skate bowl and just next door they have a special surfskate area. There are also girls skate events held in El Zonte. Locals are open to meet you and are always up for a ride together.
  There is not only El Zonte to explore, but you can also join one of the weekly coffee tours, visit waterfalls, hot springs or the famous Ruta de las Flores. If you stick to surfing, there are world famous surf spots like Punta Roca or Punta Mango around El Zonte. And if you are a party person, you will find a lot of fiestas in El Tunco during the weekends.
