Description
From a background in languages and divinity following a Divinity degree, I have spent some 16 years in secondary teaching, 10 years in management, and 10 years in administration as well as project management, latterly working as a community entrepreneur. Since completing Master of Business studies I have worked part time in a number of roles and now spends a good deal of time organising humanitarian and intercultural teams through the organisation I co-founded - The Friendship Force of Iringa., which advocates peace in the world through intercultural exchanges. .
The school has been in construction since 2005. Last December - January, 2022 construction progress went very well. The school was registered last May. It will reopen on the 1st April, 2022. It will offer vocational skill training and secondary education for those who are excluded by the formal education system in the country. Trainings such as masonry, carpentry, tailoring, computer application, welding, traditional dance and music, traditional pottery, traditional basketry, languages (Swahili, English and French) will be offered. Other conventional subjects such as math, geography, civics, history and science will be offered too. The general aim is to offer basic education and vocational skills to the disadvantaged.
We are welcoming people with skills related to programs we offer to come and volunteer. We reach out to other support such as in-kind such as desk and chairs, computers, vocational learning equipment and monetary and soft skills to achieve or goals. We are interested in finding partner schools to work together for the good cause.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre
