  Join our family and embark on a delightful journey together! Hello, I am Lua (32), married to Pierre (32). We are blessed with four lively children: Clélia (8), Emmanuelle (7), Théophile (5), and Héloïse (3), and our adorable cat Kakou.
  
  We are seeking a warm-hearted individual to help care for our home and teach English to our children.
  
  About us:
  As a family, we cherish nature and love exploring our surroundings. Recently, we have taken to enjoying our own backyard, practicing permaculture, and growing our own vegetables and fruit. Our garden, abundant with peaches, pears, apples, grapes, cherries, and a wonderful potager that gives cucumbers, tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines etc. it is our little paradise.
  
  We traveled through Europe for a year with our daughters and enjoyed workaway experiences. This journey was transformative, and now we want to host and share our lives with you. Pierre works as an engineer, and I am a frontend developer with a passion for photography and triathlon. We miss traveling and meeting people with similar interests, so we hope to share our experiences with you.
  
  Our previous au-pair experiences in Toulon, Marseille, and Melle were wonderful, and we cherish open-mindedness and respect in our home. Our children, full of life and curiosity, attend a democratic school (Sudbury School) and thrive on independence and exploration. Our parenting approach is respectful and loving, though we acknowledge it can be challenging at times. If you appreciate lively, imaginative children who love outdoor play, you will enjoy being part of our family.
  
  About our town:
  Niort is a charming town with free public transport and easy access to bikes. We live a 15-minute walk from the town center, making it easy to explore the city and enjoy nature walks in your free time. In the summer, Niort hosts many concerts and events. With convenient train access, you can visit La Rochelle, Poitiers, Nantes, and Bordeaux on weekends for a change of scenery.
  
  What we are looking for:
  We are looking for someone to help manage the house while we work and to assist with the children when they are not in school. Your responsibilities will include tidying up, handling dishes, vacuuming, helping with vegetarian meals, and tending to the garden.
  
  Our children are home on Wednesdays and after 5:30 pm on other weekdays, it would be nice for you to play with them, primarily speaking English to help them learn. We seek an independent, proactive individual who enjoys activities and values family time. We need someone who loves being with children, playing with them, and occasionally babysitting them in the evenings.

  Aide

  We need someone who enjoys spending time with children and can speak to them mainly in English, though basic French communication is necessary. On Wednesdays, you'll be home with the children, playing inside or in the garden. Prior experience with young children is required to ensure you are comfortable and not overwhelmed.
  
  Our children love creative activities, free play, and outdoor adventures. If you have a passion for dancing, drawing, music, or other hobbies, it would be wonderful for the children to learn from you. If you like photography, I can share my knowledge with you!
  
  We need someone proactive, capable of seeing where help is needed without constant direction. Experience with young children is crucial, as their energy and excitement can be intense, but they are also full of joy and laughter.

  Hébergement

  We live in a house with a beautiful garden and offer you a comfortable bedroom on a separate floor from our living areas, ensuring your peace and privacy. The room is equipped with a double bed, desk, storage space, a small fridge, and a microwave. You are welcome to eat with us, but if you prefer to eat alone or go out, that is entirely possible. We eat vegetarian, mainly vegan, but you are free to have your own food in your fridge.
  
  As we work during the day, you will probably have a lot of time on your own so we seek someone who enjoys exploring on their own, reading and doing other kinds of activities on their own.
