  Description

  We are professional creatives and live in a character filled house on half an acre of rambling forest vege gardens on the top of the Waitakere ranges. Our home is 5 minutes drive to the sands of beautiful west coast Piha beach or take the bush track and walk down through forest to the beach front. We live a peaceful existence in our mountain ranch, we grow organic veges, keep pet chooks and eat healthy vegetarian food. Looking for guests that have clean living habits, are interested workers and enjoy learning about organic gardening.
  
  We ask for 4-5 solid hours help per day and we will provide 3 meals per day. We also ask that our guests share in the cooking duties and clean up after themselves. We love to try other styles of food so please think of one of your favourite menus that you love to cook when coming!

  We are interested in other countries and cultures and love to discuss our experiences with guests. We think the world is a better place when people are open to learning about other ways of thinking and living.

  Aide

  Our home is an interesting assemblage of vintage house parts, montaged together to make a beautiful church like farmhouse. We are always looking for people to help with weeding, compost making, step building, fence repairs and general house maintenance.

  Self contained cottage with a deck that opens onto forest canopy, very peaceful. Has a mezzanine sleeping area, 2 armchairs and a table. Guests can sleep in cottage and use it as their private lounge but bathroom and cooking facilities are in the main house.

  Autres infos...

  Ideally guests will have their own transport as we are a 5 minute drive from the beach. There are many beautiful walks in Piha however and some you can access by foot from our home. Also if you are happy to put out a thumb you will usually get a lift to the bottom of the hill. Piha has great surfing waves, bush tracks, swimming holes and waterfalls.
