Note: We are not vaccinated and not smoking and prefer to share our life and home with like minded people. Thanks for your understanding!!!
For the creative play you need to speak basic french.
Minimum stay of two month:
We look for help with animal care and child care/creative play. You should be a responsible person with horse experience and a happy mind with motivation to play, jump and run... we would be very happy to welcome an outdoor person who is not using hiking boots and rain coat for the first time and who is even more happy with the nose in the wind!
**********
We are a couple (german/french) with a three year old son living close to Monpazier in the beautiful Dordogne in the south west of France. The area is famous for its middle age villages and castels and it is pretty laid back and protected from covid and co.
Our place is a big field in the middle of the forest where we live a calm and simple life close to nature and animals. We love to go for walks in the forest and to take time for our four horses. We plan to have goats as well and other child friendly animals in the future.
We try to eat a plant based / vegetarian diet in the meantime and in the future we would like to produce as much as possible of our food in our property.
We would mainly appreciate some help with childcare. We have both big projects going on (one about horses and the other one about building works - all inside the property) and would feel so much better knowing that our son can just play and have your full attention. And as much as we love to spend all our time with him we also know that it is important to spent a minute without your parents from time to time... :) To communicate with him you need to speak FRENCH ! Anyways basic french is very useful to really enjoy your stay in the region.
Jana has been teaching both classical training and natural horsemanship for a long time and is now working on a new holistic approach to being with horses. Four completely different horses will start the journey with her this winter and she could need a hand in a lot of situations.
In case you think this could be right for you just contact us so we can set up a video call. We are looking forward to getting to know you!
IMPORTANT: You need a driving license as transport possibilities are almost inexistant. To be happy at our place you also need to enjoy spending some time on your own, just reading, meditating, hiking, or writing a book...Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

We are talking French, German, English, Spanish and Portuguese so you can practice the language you choose.
Jana is building up a project that involves healing and mindfulness with horses and she is happy to share her experience about these peaceful practices in case of interest.Aide
Childcare:
The creative play with our son of 4 years can include: painting, dancing, yoga, trampoline, sand pit, music, singing, taking photographs, jumping in puddles, bricolage or simply playing with his collection of tractors. We do not like: tv, super heroes, destructive or competitive games. We prefer outside to inside and we put a strong emphasis on building respect and a connection to everything alive. You need to be a happy person who enjoys being with kids, enough expressive for making it a fun time.
Horse care:
Picking up the horses droppings every day, fill up water, fill hey in hey nets, sometimes brushing horses and assist with filming. Riding and training horses do not make part of your everyday work routine but there is plenty of hands on opportunity for sb. who is motivated in his free time to be there to watch, listen, learn, exchange... and be part of the team.
House sitting (occasionally):
Even if there are only +/-2 hours of work required while we are gone for a week end we need sb. to be present at our place to know what is going on and to inform us in case of doubt so we can eventually call a veterinarian before he is off work.
Our place is very peaceful and we are looking forward to meeting responsible people with love for animals and respect for nature - party people and smokers should look for another host.Langues parlées

Accommodation in a simple but comfortable mobile home placed 70 m from our house in an other small pasture so there is good privacy. There is one bedroom with electrical heater, a bathroom with a hot shower and dry toilets and a "big" living room with kitchen and a very effective wooden stove for cold winter days. There is decent internet with 100Go per month.
***Note: We have been living in the mobile home for almost three years and we find it comfortable as we are used to a simple life. It does not offer the same comfort and isolation than a house, the roof is not very high and you live in a kind of box. Somebody who is used to a modern flat in the city might find it too hot in the summer, too cold in the morning, too humid in the rainy weeks and too complicated to clean the wooden stove every morning before you can heat up...
Concerning the food:
For 4-5 hours of help (childcare + animal care) we pay your shopping, of course.
In general you are welcome to take lunch with us if you want and you prepare your own meals in the evening.Autres infos...
