Description
We are starting a new venue in Istria!
Our previous venue was a great success thanks to Workaway and the many who helped us - see the reviews.
And then ... Now ... Hands are again welcome, ideas even more to help spark a basis for a therapeutic retreat ...
At the moment accomodation space is limited, unless camping, I have a max for two volunteers at the moment
Helping at the start means helping with the rough work, cleaning out the old, renovation, with its own special attraction, good physical labor in a healthy environment, simple strong veg meals, camping style living, improvising, inspiration gathering … upcoming: interior finishing - ceiling, walls, bookshelves, bathroom, kitchen .... filling the spares in the stone walls, a lot of work with wood.
Just write what you would like to do, what you would like to learn.
The organizer: Stan has worked as an interior and furniture designer, has organized art projects for ten years and as a coach he is experienced in giving workshops, loves construction work which are mainly a source of relaxation and inventions. Main activity is the development and practice of cranio sacral techniques as to help people deal with restrictions.

As has been proven previously with so many enthousiast sharers, we all teach each other, to cook, to learn various skills in building, some learned dry walling, some learned to handle electric equipment, how to log firewood, gardening, permaculture, herbalism and more, but we always ask what you would like to gain from this workaway experience and after a few days we ask if that is still the same, it may change once you get used to the environment ...
Aide
There are tasks for virtually everyone, building of the basis, dry walling, electricity, water, etc. Just apply and tell us what you like best or what you want to learn and we will tell if we can do that. It is possible to create an addition to your CV. All jobs can be chopped into smaller more easier or more labourous tasks as per skill and capacity. We like to offer the help also as a training, which makes it more fun.
Upon agreement I can pick you up at the bus/train terminal in Koper/Capodistria. Or if you come by foot, bike, car, you will receive good travel information to the venue or a place close by where I can pick you up.
We expect you to volunteer 4-5 hrs/5 days, cooking can be a shared activity. If you can teach, please let know what you would like to teach. If you want to offer a special skill, also write us. If you want to learn a special skill, too.
Internet available; the place is quite remote and there is virtually no electro smog from wireless networks.
Please refrain from inviting friends for a stay or to meals without asking us.
Vegetarian meals, based on the use of a lot of season vegetables; we very rarely eat meat. Let us know dietary restrictions in advance. I don't smoke nor drink alcohol except for a rare occasion. Drugs are not allowed.

Hébergement
The accommodation is camping style for the moment. It is ideal for travelers in campers. I have a microcamper that sleeps very well. There is a good shower, toilet. A small kitchen in my room which provides for cooking simple meals. Please let me know how you should be accommodated.

Time off activities: Nature is great. Hiking, Walking, Biking, The Adriatic is close by, a river also ...
Travel advice, in Slovenia: trains are to slow, buses are quicker, prevozi is a share ride website, cheap and best. I may be able to pick you up in Koper or Izola.

There is plenty of space around, in fact it is at the moment for workawayers in a van or a tent. I have a micro camper that sleeps very well. Good shower and cooking facility is available.

My first experience as a workaway volunteer. All the comentaries refered to Stan are absolutley true: he's a great person.... makes you feel like being in family at his home. The place is also beautiful and very calm...some trekking paths to the rocks are recommended and having a beer with local people... some of them speaks english.

We stayed with Stan for 3 and 1/2 fabulous weeks.
We learnt a variety of different skills. We did some gardening and painting!
It was great fun!
Stan is a great healthy cook! He has lots of interesting stories!

first time i try a workaway place and if its always like that it<s not gone a be my last time! the place look beatiful very quiet and also stan is a very good host. The bed, the food and the work was great. perfect place for nature lovers.

Dominiques 5 day stay was quiet, calm and he works steady on, loved the outdoor work, he grows into it and learns fast. I think he may well have a good pair of green hands ...

Likewise, I am happy to return the favor: Melanie is a great person to have, apart from the very good company she makes, she did awesome work for the appearance of our project, with work on the website, texts, structurizing. She loves the nature, snow, horses, outdoors - and chocolate.

This was my first workaway placement and I had a great time. Stan is a very warm and welcoming host, his food is delicious! My room was lovely and the house is beautiful. I really enjoyed working with Stan and definitely highly recommend him as a host.
