  • Description

    Description

This is a charity founded as a response to the climate and ecological emergency. We are helping to create a future in which nature and human societies thrive. Education is central to understanding our current situation and preparing for a different kind of future.

Our 120 acre farm campus is situated in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park in mid Wales. We run full time courses such as regenerative horticulture and green woodworking and coppicing skills as well short courses situated around climate adaptation and mitigation. This is a special place where people of all ages and abilities can explore what the era of climate breakdown means for them, practicing practical strategies for meaningful action in every sphere of their life.

We have been here a year and there is still a lot to do to get ready for our next cohort of further education students arriving September 2022. We are looking for more people from mid Aug until mid/late Sept. Please get in contact.

We are situated in Talgarth in the Brecon Beacons National Park - there are so many things to do! Make the most of the great outdoors with activities such as walking, cycling, canoeing and star gazing. Fun days out to explore towns such as Abergavenny, Crickhowell or Blaenavon with their museums, castles and galleries. Please see online for all that is on offer.

Talgarth has pubs, a Co-op food store, a deli and a shop selling organic and ethical produce. Talgarth Mill has a coffee shop and bakery selling delicious cakes and bread; gardens and a craft shop.

We are 8 miles equidistant of Brecon and Hay on Wye - both small market towns with a variety of retail, restaurants and other cultural activities. Hay on Wye is the town of books, famous for the Hay Festival - there are many shops to explore and well stocked market on Thursdays. Brecon Cathedral has beautiful gardens to experience and the river Usk.
