Description
Welcome to our charming B&B Equine Ranch facing the impressive Cayambe Volcano and located three kilometers from Cayambe City center. We’re situated in a lovely Andean nature nirvana within the remote Paquestancia native dairy farming community with access to more than 100 kilometers of scenic nature trails, our beautiful waterfall, communal house, dense endemic Buga forest and off grid tourism cabin, approximately 90 minutes drive time north of Quito with easily accessible convenient public transportation. We offer guest accommodations, camping, horseback riding, guided wilderness hikes, soul renewal retreats, meals and special event services.
My name is Jeannie, I was born in the United States and during almost three decades learning to know this amazing country I’ve developed a deep love for Ecuador and the Ecuadorian people. My youngest son was born in Quito twenty eight years ago and we both live here on the property. Tania works with us Tuesday through Saturday as our full time housekeeper/cook and Franklin cares for the horses and gardens. Additional help is welcome and most appreciated as our activities are increasing and expanding. Thank you for considering an opportunity to join our team, we look forward to working together serving our guests, caring for our equine herd, our property, and the Paquiestancia community. Warmest greetings and best wishes!Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

You’ll have an opportunity to learn about Ecuadorian culture, gastronomy, native traditions, dairy farming, gardening and equine care, with a chance to explore this lovely country during your free time. If you’re interested in improving or learning Spanish, our workers speak Spanish and being immersed in the language will be very helpful.

We’re searching for kind, friendly, independent, flexible, creative, adventurous, nature and equine lovers willing to help with any of the following:
Yoga classes
Holistic Wellness
meal planning and preparation
equine care (loving, feeding, riding and brushing)
watering and weeding our gardens

We are looking for individuals willing and able to demonstrate initiative and preferably with prior experience living or working on a horse ranch. We encourage volunteers interested in proposing and pursuing independent projects to connect with and join our team.
We ask our volunteers for a minimum five week commitment and we prefer longer stays. Maintaining order in your independent and potentially shared living space is important.
The position(s) could be ideal for one person or possibly two people who may appreciate remaining in Ecuador long term and converting a temporary volunteer position into full time work with earning potential.
If you appreciate healthy peaceful living, nature and horses, greeting and serving local and international travelers and volunteering, this may be a great fit for you. If so please send us an email describing yourself, your desires and plans. Please include, if applicable, information regarding medical limitations, dietary restrictions and essentials, as well as special needs and conditions, we hope to hear from you soon!Langues parlées

Although we’re located in a remote country setting we're quite near to Cayambe City where you’ll find coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, pharmacies, churches, travel agencies, banks, a fresh produce market, souvenirs, an ATM, etc… We encourage you to take care if walking alone in Cayambe City at night as you would in any city center.
