  Description

  A peaceful, rural farmhouse with outbuildings and grounds in the Lot et Garonne, France. You will want your own transport since it's a remote area with no public transport. It’s an inclusive household and everybody is welcome 🌈
  
  Ideally you’d have your own transport due to our remote location, though I usually go out once a day (but not guaranteed!).
  
  I'm looking for help with odd jobs around the garden and grounds - mostly cleaning and clearing sheds and other physical jobs, mostly outdoors.
  
  It's not glamorous or sociable work, and I only have enough for one person, so I'm looking for someone who is happy working alone and who is confident with manual work (and who doesn't mind working in the heat).
  
  However if you enjoy your own company, exploring the french countryside or are looking for a peaceful space in which to work on a creative side project, then this might be for you!
  
  I share my home with two sweet cats - one has special needs as he’s blind and needs lots of kindness and help navigating his world. I’m looking for an animal-loving, peaceful person who will be kind to my cats, especially my blind boy who needs extra care and patience.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
  
  I love to cook mostly vegetarian, healthy and delicious meals. I don’t drink alcohol anymore, so if you want to drink you’ll need to provide it yourself - no heavy drinkers and absolutely no drugs please.
  
  In return for your help, I can offer a beautiful country house with your own comfortable double room and ensuite bathroom, access to our gardens and swimming pool and delicious home-cooked meals in a peaceful rural setting.

  I'm a visual artist and have a large studio and materials. I have run therapeutic art workshops and work primarily three dimensionally with textiles. I'm always happy to talk about art, craft and making!
  I love to cook and happy to talk about food, local ingredients and share recipes. There are lots of produce markets locally.
  
  I am English, French and Spanish and speak all three languages. I lived in Australia for 16 years and love to meet people of all countries and cultures.

  Aide

  I’m looking for a handy, self-sufficient and responsible person to help with gardening, cleaning, and general odd jobs around the property.
  
  Main tasks include:
  - Clearing sheds (you’ll need to be comfortable around spiders, bats, lizards, snakes, and mice!)
  - Indoor and outdoor cleaning
  - Jet washing, vacuuming
  - Picking up sticks and clearing dead wood from trees
  - Sanding, varnishing, and painting outdoor furniture
  - Moving furniture
  - Gardening work
  
  Carpentry skills would be a bonus for fixing and upcycling wooden chairs and benches.
  
  A manual, handy person happy to work alone, comfortable being up a ladder, and clearing outdoor areas.

  A large double room with own on-suite bathroom upstairs in the main house. You can make yourself at home in any part of the house and garden and there is also a pool.
