Tom and Deena were at absolute pleasure to host! Every night we had dinner together and had great talks, they were also kind to our children who quickly warmed to them. They required very little direction when it came to working in our garden, whilst here they helped build a chicken coop. Highly recommend!
We had a great time with Cori and Joel. We were there about two weeks - enough time to help with some general cleaning/rearranging of a garage, and then to get started in on two projects - intense weeding of their garden, and starting construction of a chicken coop. … read more wanted/expected, and were very appreciative of any ideas we had as to how certain projects could be carried out. We had full freedom to arrange our time and work as we wanted, within the parameters of the expected amount of work to be done. We appreciated that freedom, as well as the chance to be integrated into their family and World Schooling hub. scene.
It was interesting going to the weekly market, and taking some trips into the countryside in our rented car. Be aware, though, that there's not a whole lot going on in Oria (at least while we were there in early February), so if you do go to spend some time at Cori and Joel's, either be someone who loves taking long walks, or have a car to get out of town with.
All in all, though, a lovely place to relax at for a few weeks, and get some much-appreciated work done too.

We had the pleasure of hosting Elizabetta, Antonio and their son Alessio on their first WorkAway experience. They are such a lovely family and we all got along so well…their son also helped and made good friends with our children, even our 5 year old. There was so much garden maintenance to do as many of the trees and plants had become overgrown.
… read more Antonio and Elizabetta spent all of October making the garden look beautiful again, they also cleared a large disused space that will now become a private seating area. They worked hard and were great at taking initiative. We would definitely host them in the future.

This has been our first experience on workaway, and it couldn't have been any better! We were drawn by the beauty of the project: turn a farm house in a place to host families from all over the world interested in homeschooling for their kids, with non traditional way of learning. Cori, Joel and all family members were so lovely, helpful and
… read more welcoming. They made every dinner a feast. Joel is a masterchef! Cori is a perfect mum! Beautiful flat with mountain view and garden area. We will keep them all in our heart. Fantastic to be able to host Wilf last year. Very hard worker and gone on with every task thrown at him...and we did a wide variety of physical tasks! Would be more than happy to have him over again.

Inspiring people in an extremely inspiring setting.
You quickly become part of Corri & Joel's fun, busy lives. There are always friends popping in for coffee and their place really feels like a social Hub of the village - they aren't lying when they say you'll become part of the family!
You will also find it very hard to go hungry as they feed

They have a very laid back approach to the working schedule. I was there to help clear out a barn, but found myself helping out with a massive variety of tasks as they seemed to pop up out of nowhere! (Wall building, house removal Jobs, painting, to name a small few). It hardly feels like work as you are surrounded with mountains and good company.
I cannot thank Corri & Joel enough for my stay. They made me feel so at home with their infectious charisma
and really opened my eyes to a way of living away from cities (and England!).
I'm sure we shall meet again!Feedback

Our family of 5 stayed with Joel and Cori for 2 weeks in February. From the moment we arrived they were friendly and welcoming of our entire family.
We were hosted in a lovely apartment, fed some wonderful meals cooked by Joel and our children were afforded the freedom to play safely whilst we worked.

Oria is a beautiful village - it was a shame we visited during a lockdown and couldn't fully explore the area more.

This wonderful family saved the day when another Workaway project fell through. They invited us into their beautiful home and made us feel like family from day one. Our 2 weeks were spent helping with general maintenance around their property, sightseeing and enjoying delicious home cooked meals. Their 4 children are a credit to both of them and

Cori and Joel were fabulous hosts! They were very welcoming and friendly. Their family are awesome. They made us feel right at home. The work was fair and they provided all the meals. We explored a lot and met many new people through them. They also put us in connect with people for later on in our travels! It was a great first workawayer
