A wicked sense of humor is a must . I am very self sufficient , I have an interest in music and play a couple of instruments ( badly ). I do not get involved with internships or visa applications. please be here by 2pm as it takes awhile to get you set up. you need your own internet,thanks Al

Help includes gardening, tree pruning, building Gambian baskets for flood protection, tree planting, some housework, painting etc. Must be motivated and able to think on a practical level. one person only and prefer a minimum two week stay.we're close to tracks. kayaks on site etc. never boring.you need your own internet.AND we eat meat every day. thanks Al

Camila stayed for two weeks, She has an easy grace and a big smile that makes any day a bit better. she took on any task set and can think ahead and carry on with minimal to zero instruction.I would have her back anytime and highly recommend to future hosts. Good luck and happy trails :-)

Torri stayed for two weeks and was lovely to have onboard and easy company, she never baulked at any task and done a fantastic job ( unsupervised ) reconditioning the green house and garden. also she was very easy to teach operating light machinery. an all round and willing worker I can recommend . Good luck :-)

Dale is an exceptional gardener and the gardens have never looked so good in 20 + years . she needs no detailed instruction, just a brief outline and leave her to it. tidy in the house and always busy. would recommend to anybody needing a lot done in a short time. many thanks Dale and every success in your ventures Al

With Al every day is an happy day. I spend lovely time with him, doing diservified tasks in the middle of a beautiful scenery. I learn how to drive a digger. I feel like home to Al's. Thank you for everything and sorry to don't be a good singer ^^

Amrita is a cracking Lass That I can recommend , she has a cheeky sense of humor and her take off of the welsh accent is a real hoot. her work ethic is great and although she was often well out of her comfort zone never once backed down from a task. All the best and welcome back anytime

Had the best time at Al's! Learned so much about the local area, great place to start my New Zealand adventure. I got the chance to use a digger which was so much fun and joined in with Al's band. Thanks so much Al for being so welcoming and a great host.

My 2-3 weeks spent at Al’s place were filled with lots of jam nights, meeting Al’s wonderful friends, trying new things (learned how to drive manual, play the guitar, and drive an ATV!), and cat cuddles. Al and yennis definetely were two great hosts. The food was really amazing and Al Always supported me when i did activites like hiking and kayaking. The Work was definetely fun and i can say that i was never bored the whole time i was there.

It's a super cool experience. I love it. Al and Yennis are really nice people. I got different excited experience almost everyday.

I stayed a bit over 2 weeks with Al and Yennis and just had the most wonderful time! They are really happy, positive and humorous people and it was so great working and living with them. My stay with you was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed the beautiful scenery, food, conversation and the jamming! The work was very interesting, especially driving the digger. It could not have been better! Thank you for everything Al and Yennis and I'll see you again in winter!
