We are a family running a Permaculture Farm near Bilecik, 13 km from Gölpazarı village. The farm is located just between İstanbul Bursa, Sakarya, Eskişehir and Ankara.
We have chickens, geese and other animals to take care of; and we are growing all kinds of fruit trees like olive, cherry, apple, pears, grapes, apricots, peaches and so on. We grow them by using ecological methods.
Producing and selling fruits at the eco market in Istanbul is one of our incomes. Fruits and veggies are turned into vinegars, pickles and all sorts of goodies. Have you ever made soap out of olive oil?
Using ancient techniques and aromatic plants? Here we go!
There is a lot to do and learn here.
We are in search for very happy and very hardworking, skilful and helpful volunteers. You wanna join? Let’s do it :)

While helping the host practise English, volunteers can also learn a bit of Turkish.
You will have information about Turkish tradition and family structure. You may be interested in traditional food, traditional music.
As mentioned above you can learn to produce all our special products, but also how to use medical herbs and how to build out of wood. However, we are not a permaculture school and you must learn on the go as we are working. If you are a good learner, the experience in the farm will be a good teacher.
We have a lot of work on the farm but we design the farm as a living space for travelers. Providing contribution to universal peace is possible by getting to know each other. Volunteers, we contribute to them. It is possible to improve the world with love, hope and goodness.
This is a list of the activities and tasks that are performed in the farm
•Web development and maintenance, as well as audio-visual editing.
•Help with all daily tasks, such as feeding the animals, watering the plants and cleaning common spaces.
•Harvest of herbs and aromatic plants (lavender, sage, and so on), fruits, collecting eggs, helping in the fields, etc.
•Help with constructing new buildings such as wood houses.
•Help with weighting, packing and transporting products.
Not everything needs to be done every day, so you will see what we are up to when you are here. Although you must take into account that in farms work is hard and very often dirty. You must be ready for tasks that require an acceptable physical condition and we expect you have no problems to get your hands dirty.
This is a nice feedback summarizing us. Thanks Grace
If you are looking for down time or a place to rest, this is not the workaway for you.
If you are highly motivated and looking to learn all that running a farm and small business entails, it will be a positive match.
Selcuk is a good man with a beautiful vision and life philosophy...
When you meet him, just ask why he bought the farm and you will be inspired. Although short lived, I learned many things from him during my stay.
Thank you for all that you shared Selcuk!

I want to improve my English and learn Spanish. I can teach you Turkish .
Stay in a house for volunteers just a few steps away from the family house. (Edit; Now we have limited Wi-Fi box,its ok )There is no Wi-Fi on the farm but it is easy and cheap to enter the internet with Turkcell sim card. Breakfast is prepared in an open kitchen; we will take turns to prepare it, the goods will be provided by the host. There is a pool that you can use, sometimes the pool needs some cleaning and we can provide you with the tools if you are feeling like swimming but this task is on you and it won’t be considered inside the five hours of work.
In summer the works at farm start early in the morning, at 7:00 am; we hope you are a morning person. Around one hour or one hour and a half later we will take a break to have breakfast and wash the dishes. After breakfast we will go back to work. Timing is very important; if we start early we can finish on time. Doing the tasks properly is also very important, if a job is well done we can move to the next job; but if a task is not done properly, then it is necessary to do it again. If we start to work at 7 am, we can finish at 12 pm and then you can go to explore the surrounding areas.
İn winter however we start working at 9 am and finish at 14:00 pm.. depending on the weather.
The rules of the farm are the following:
•No smoking is allowed inside the farm.
•Volunteers must keep the common areas, kitchen and bathroom clean.
•Volunteers must start work on time and leave the farm on time so the family can continue working.
•Volunteers must be respectful and behave in an appropriate manner inside and outside the farm
We can prepare vegan meals together on the farm. We can make special meals for Gulutan-fed. We'd like you to share your cooking skills with us. We prepare local vegan or non-vegan healthy meals together and eat together.
In Istanbul Uskudar Harem bus terminal there are two buses every day to Gölpazarı, this buses can take you to farm. The first bus leaves at 10:00 and the second one at 16:00. All drivers know us, you can tell them.
The fast train and big bus companies stop in Bilecik, from there you can take a bus ride to the farm.
Also there are Bursa and Eskişehir buses that pass in front of the farm every day at 8 am. They may be a good option when you want to visit the surroundings.
