We are Gee ,Nyingi ( swahili for many) and our two year old son Tuash. My husband is a researcher and a student, while I am a house wife, and a part time hair dresser. But I enjoy cooking various kinds of foods especially African cuisines. My husband is currently researching on river biodiversity especially the benthic macro invertebrates until December 2018.
We also run a grassroots organization where we work with marginal farmers living next to large coffee and tea plantation and who were disposed of their land during the colonization and allocated small pieces of land at most an acre and a half. We have been teaching these farmers on agroecology and sustainable intensification for 3 years but my husband has a much longer experience in these projects with farmers.

The traveler will gain a lot of skills in Pest and disease control using homemade biopesticides. There are also going to gain some skills in the production of biofertilizers from locally available materials. Our family is deeply connected to the African culture, and we love to prepare African cuisines and also learn our language. These are some of the cultural benefits one could learn from us.
2019 marks our most busy year. We would like to upscale on our projects especially promoting the making of biopesticides, culturing fungi such as Trichoderma, and making of biofertilizers such as super magro, bokashi. Also, we are starting a new project of documenting farm agro biodiversity among farmers and this is where we need your help, to visit farmers and interview them on the type of agrobiodiversity on a quarterly basis. This will help us to introduce the open pollinated seed varieties and organic seeds among farmers. We are gaining momentum for a Dec 10th 2018 petition hearing on plans by the Kenyan government to lift the ban on GMOs, and the ruling by the high court in March 2019. We are also planning to start to grow extra nutritious and safe food on our farm to donate to a children home located 2.5 km from our home beginning February.
Our district has many undocumented streams and springs that are useful to farmers, we urgently need people with IT skills to help us develop a platform were people can post the springs near them by taking photos with a phone with a GPS, writing a short description and posting it on a website that we shall call springboard. People with artistic abilities, writing skills, and photography can really help us.
Anyone with basic education becomes important to us. We are sure we can learn from each other.
We need help in:
1. Animal care
2.Gardening
3.Data collection and management
4. Conservation projects
5.Assisting farmers in the farmers training programs
