  My Name is Carlos, I am 45 years old and have moved back to Sodwana Bay 4 years ago. I run a lodge as well as an adventure travel company. I live in a food forest and am slowly going off the grid. I am a videographer/photographer/dive instructor/skipper. My passion is all things nature, I have 5 wonderful dogs who i love and enjoy dearly. I enjoy where i live as there are so many experiences to be had even within the property.

  this is a great opportunity for me and for an individual or a couple to experience this wonderful part of the country. Sodwana Bay is located on the far northern stretch of South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal coastline, in a culturally rich part of the province known as Zululand. Not far from the Mozambique border, it’s one of 10 nature areas protected under the auspices of iSimangaliso Wetland Park. The park, whose other sites include Cape Vidal, Lake St. Lucia, and uMkhuze Game Reserve, was designated as South Africa’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 in recognition of its incredible natural beauty and rich biodiversity.
  
  One can scuba dive, surf, snorkel, go fishing, relax or explore the quiet beaches. There are many game reserves around that can also e visited. Birding is incredible in this part of the world as well as big 5 game viewing.
  
  There is also a rich Zulu culture that can be experienced.
  
  Also there is so much to be learnt with the food forest, practices and new ways of life can be learnt and implemeted here.

  Help welcome in maintaining and growing a food forest, implementing permaculture practices. General gardening and simple DIY and building projects. Occasionally will have to look after 5 wonderful dogs if i happen to go away for a few days. Must e dog lover.Nature lover

  A large tent located in a food forest that has cooking facilities and running water. As well as a many chill areas and swimming pool.

  On your time off One can scuba dive, surf, snorkel, go fishing, relax or explore the quiet beaches. There are many game reserves around that can also be visited. Birding is incredible in this part of the world as well as big 5 game viewing. Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park, Mkuze Park, Thembe Elephant Park, St Lucia are all nearby.
  
  The Mozambique border is 1.5 hours away and is easily accessible.
  
  There is also a rich Zulu culture that can be experienced. Many friends are to be made here.
