  Description

  Multicultural family of 3 plus a cat looking for help to look after our 3.5-year-old daughter. We are fully booked until the 10th of September, happy to receive you anytime after this date :)
  
  We have been away from Workaway for a while now, I'm very sorry to all those I did not respond to! Now we are back and I promise I'll respond to you if you are interested in staying with us :)
  
  We recently moved and are now in the heart of Fribourg, just above the train station on the 6th floor. This means we have great views, everything is close (shopping, public transport, etc.), but it also comes with some noise. However the isolation is amazing, with the windows closed there is barely any noise and the window of your room faces the other way.
  
  We like to go for walks around town almost every day (a little less during the winter time) and on our days off you can often find us in one of the enchanting places of Switzerland ;)
  Our long-term plans include travelling the world on a catamaran/trimaran.
  
  We are calm people, who believe that communication is key for every good relationship. We are very open minded and love to learn about new cultures. We try to eat healthy, currently very much inspired by the low carb diet. We stay fit with weightlifting, walking, hiking, bicycle and the occasional swim in the lakes when it's warm enough.
  We are happy to take you on our trips when it's suitable and have no problem in lending you our car when we don't need it (just make sure to have an international drivers licence if needed).

  We are a multicultural family, Cécile being Swiss and Javier Colombian. We speak Spanish, German, French, and English. Since Hannah is growing up speaking three languages, Cécile speaks German and Javier Spanish with her. At the daycare they speak French. We are happy to help you learn any of these languages.
  Fribourg being a city with many students, there are plenty of activities, parties and opportunities to get to know people!
  We are decent cooks (and happy to teach you if you would like). We are currently eating low carb (mostly vegetables, healthy fats and meat). But we have no problem with you eating differently and we have no problem with buying food especially for you.

  Aide

  We are a family of 3 (two adults and our 3.5-year-old daughter) with a cat, looking for some help looking after our daughter Hannah while we are at work. She goes to daycare once a week on Wednesdays. Cécile works normal office hours, and Javier works in the mornings until around 1pm.
  We are looking for someone to help look after Hannah in the mornings (except Wednesday) and if possible a few hours on the weekend (not necessarily every weekend) or in the evenings. We are quite flexible with this and can adapt to your plans as well.
  Hannah usually gets up around 8am, eats breakfast, before going outside for a while (playground, walking, going into nature, etc.). The person currently staying with us cooks lunch for the family around 1pm, before having the afternoon to herself, which is ideal for us, but we're open to discuss the part about cooking lunch. :)
  We gladly accept a helping hand in the kitchen or house in general. Whoever cooks, does the meal for everybody, and we usually eat together, but that's not a must. In general we are quite flexible about everything and are always open to doing things differently!
  In the education of our daughter aim to enable her to choose her activities and give her an environment where there are as few no's as possible. We like the scientific approach by Philippa Perry in The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read. We try to use her approach to education in the day-to-day with our daughter.

  Hébergement

  We live in a modern duplex apartment just above the train station of Fribourg, with a great view over the trains, the city, the nature surrounding Fribourg, as well as the mountains. The rooms are all on the upper floor, the living room and kitchen are downstairs. The balcony is accessible from the kitchen.
  You'll stay in a spacious private room with a double bed, a desk, a TV and a wardrobe.

  Fribourg is a small but charming city in the center of Switzerland. Nature is never far away when you're in Fribourg, even in the city centre it's just a few minutes walk to be in some forest. Being well located, destinations like Geneva and Zurich are both only a 1,5h train ride away. The capital Bern is about 25 min train ride away, with plenty of cultural activities.
  There are plenty of outdoor activities close by, for example hiking in the mountains, skiing in the winter, different lakes, nice walks through forests and the hills of Fribourg.
  We are looking for someone, or a couple, who ideally already has some experience in childcare. Since our daughter still takes time to be confident with new persons, we want the person(s) to stay at least 1 month, but more would be better.
  What is very important to us, is the education of our daughter, cleanliness and order in the kitchen and the common spaces (in the measure that this is possible with a little girl ;) ).
