  About Me and the Ink Studio
  
  My name is Laila, and I am a Moroccan tattoo artist and the founder of the ink studio, based in the beautiful coastal city of Essaouira.
  
  I have always been passionate about art, human stories and creative expression. My background also includes cinema, music and teaching classical piano, which has strongly influenced my artistic sensitivity and the way I connect with people.
  
  I created the ink studio as more than just a tattoo shop. It is an independent, welcoming and creative space where art, culture, personal identity and well-being come together.
  
  My work is mainly inspired by Amazigh culture and symbolism, as well as fine-line, minimalist and ornamental tattoo styles. One of my goals is to celebrate and preserve Amazigh heritage through contemporary tattoo art while respecting the meaning and history of its symbols.
  
  I also develop therapeutic and restorative tattoo projects for people affected by scars, burns or cancer. These projects are approached with patience, sensitivity and respect for each person’s personal journey. For me, tattooing can be decorative, but it can also help someone reconnect with their body, regain confidence and transform a difficult experience into something meaningful.
  
  The studio welcomes Moroccan and international clients, travellers and guest artists. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and professional. Because I manage most parts of the studio myself, I would love to welcome someone who can bring new energy, creative ideas and practical support.
  
  Essaouira is a peaceful and inspiring city known for its ocean, music, art, multicultural atmosphere and strong local identity. Staying here is a great opportunity to discover Moroccan daily life, meet creative people and experience a different side of the country.
  
  I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, sharing knowledge and learning from others. I would like this Workaway experience to be a genuine human and cultural exchange, built around creativity, respect, communication and mutual support.

  Join a Creative Tattoo Studio in Essaouira, Morocco
  
  Hello! My name is Laila, and I am the founder and tattoo artist behind the ink studio, a creative tattoo shop based in Essaouira, Morocco.
  My work is inspired by Amazigh culture, fine-line art and meaningful symbolism. I also work on therapeutic and restorative tattoo projects, including scars, burns and post-cancer reconstruction.
  
  I am looking for a friendly, reliable and creative person to join me for a minimum stay of one month. Longer stays are very welcome!
  
  How you can help
  
  Depending on your experience and interests, you could help with:
  * Welcoming clients and managing the reception

  * Answering messages and booking appointments

  * Organising the shop’s schedule

  * Social media, photography, videos and communication

  * Creating content and promoting the studio

  * Drawing tattoo designs or preparing flash sheets

  * Keeping the studio organised and creating a warm atmosphere

  
  If you are already a professional tattoo artist travelling with your equipment and portfolio, there may also be an opportunity to join the studio as a guest artist. This will depend on your experience, artistic style and hygiene standards.
  
  You do not need to be a tattoo artist. Someone who is good at drawing, communication, organisation, photography, video or social media would also be a great fit.
  
  I am looking for someone who is respectful, responsible, independent, open-minded and comfortable communicating with clients. Speaking French or English is helpful, and other language is a bonus.
  
  The exact schedule, responsibilities and conditions will be discussed together before your arrival.
