  Description

  Hi I am Chris. I live in an old Victorian Country House set on a 1 acre garden at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains which has many lovely walking trails and mountain bike trails. I play traditional Irish music on the fiddle, enjoy walking when I get the chance photography and gardening. I need help in the garden, maintenance around the house and the usual house hold chores.
  I will only host 2 people who are travelling together or people who will share with another person. Must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19
  
  I run a part time bed and breakfast which is usually only busy at weekends in the summertime. I have a local worker employed for some of this work. It is closed from mid October to the end of March. I have 3 bedrooms for guests.

  Meeting and interaction with tourists and local people. Experiencing the local food and exchanging dishes. Experiencing the local Irish music tradition. ( Last Wednesday of the month in the local pub. every Thursday night in Kelly's pub Birr) New Mountain Bike trails just open from the village.

  I bought this house 30 years ago and have spent my life improving it. I have a large garden which needs continual maintenance such as hedge trimming, weeding, watering window boxes landscaping and improving it.
  
  
  
  Help is usually 4 hours per day 5 days per week. Times by arrangement. In return I provide food for all your meals, accommodation and free unlimited wifi. Minimum stay 7 nights.
  
  I can only accommodate 2 people who will share a bedroom.

  Kinnitty is a small picturesque village in the centre of Ireland less than 2 hours drive from almost anywhere in Ireland. There is public transport between Birr and Portlaoise 5 times daily route 823. In Portlaoise you can connect with trains or buses to take you to any part of the country.
  Kinnitty has 2 pubs, a cafe and a small convenience store. I am in the village which is near the Slieve Bloom Mountains. The Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike trails start right outside my door. There are also lots of walking trails in the nearby Slieve bloom Mountains. Other attractions are Traditional Irish music on the last Wednesday of the month in the local pub. Both pubs have music at the weekends. Lough Boora Parklands, Birr Castle gardens and Telescope, Haunted Leap Castle and Clonmacnoise are other attractions nearby. Or you can relax and read, use the internet.
