Cat lover welcome to look after my six friendly cats in Thésée, France

  Description

  I live in St Romain sur Cher in a small Hamlet, about 3 miles from St Aignan sur Cher. There are many activities close by including the Zoopark of Beauval and of course we are in the Loire Chateaux region, Chenonceau, Chaumont, Amboise all being close. My house is near to the Cher River and for cyclists there is a recognised cycle route from Selle sur Cher to Chenonceau that passes in front of my house.
  There are plenty of good walks in the area, particularly in the vinyards and by bthe river but some kind of transport would be necessary for shopping etc., as there are no buses. The nearest station is St Aignan / Noyers sur Cher (about 3 miles away) and from here you can go to Tours in about 35/40 minutes.
  
  I have 6 (at the moment) cats all friendly who would need feeding twice per day, at around 8am in the morning and between 6/7pm in the evening. The two eldest are 16 years old and in addition I have a Mummy cat (3 years old) and her 3 kittens. I have adopted all of them since coming to live here in 2005. I say at the moment that I have 6 cats but I can never resist an extra one if they turn up on my doorstep. Only the two eldest sleep in the house, the others are free to roam and sleep in the Workshop. I need somebody who loves cats and will ensure that my cats are safe and well fed in my absence. Once these tasks are done then whoever is staying here is free to spend the day as they wish.
  
  My house is a Longere (typical of the region) but has all mod cons. It has two double bedrooms but only one double would be available for the Pet Sitters. It has a very large garden, nice for lounging , depending on the time of year. The neighbours are all French and are very helpful and friendly.

  Somebody or a couple who want to experience day to day life in France . Throughout the year there are numerous activities available, plus there are local markets and many restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. Nearby in St Aignan there is a very good Tourist Office who are always happy to advise on up and coming events (ie wine festivals etc) and activities

  Somebody to give loving care to my cats and ensure that they are safe and well fed in my absence. The petsitter must be a cat lover I do not want somebody who will just put food down and ignore them.

  Hébergement

  The petsitter would have a good size double bedroom and bathroom. In addition they would be able to use the kitchen (well equiped), sitting room - with English and French TV,and dining-room, all comfortably furnished . All bedlinen, towels etc would be provided.
  They would provide their own food, however, a starter stock would be left in the fridge.
  All pet food will be provided and would be more than adequate for the period.

  The petsitters would be expected to be available every day during my absence and always overnight. I do not expect them to take time-out during their stay although of course they are free to go out and about every day as they wish as long as there are no problems with the cats.
