  Welcome to the Boarding School! We are excited to host you and to meet people from all over the world. We invite you to teach our enthusiastic and passionate students. We are a traditional Islamic boarding school, known as a pondok pesantren, in Indonesia. Here, you will not only learn about local culture but also immerse yourself in the local Islamic culture and religion.
  
  Don't just come to Indonesia for Bali and miss out on the many wonders of Javanese culture. Bali and Java are incomparable! They are like two different countries or worlds. Make it a part of your Bali trip to visit us by taking a short plane ride from Denpasar.

  Location:
  We are located in Kota Sukabumi (the city of Sukabumi). If you search for Kota Sukabumi on Google Maps, you can find the general area. We are about 3-4 hours inland from Jakarta and enjoy mostly cool weather year-round, unlike Jakarta. There is no heavy pollution, and there are basically no tourists here. On your journey here, someone will be available to guide you every step of the way. Fly into Jakarta and then take the buses and local public vans from there.

  Come and taste incredible homemade daily buffets featuring all-you-can-eat traditional Indonesian food made by the best local chefs (3 meals a day provided). This is a real cultural immersion into the daily lives of 480 students and over 80 teachers. Meet and interact with locals and be immersed in their culture and religion. Everything will be provided for you. Sometimes we take trips to local waterfalls. The school is located in a beautiful forest with nearby hiking and rivers. Transportation is cheap, so on your days off, it's fun and easy to explore the local wonders.

  Aide

  We welcome teachers from many different language backgrounds, including Mandarin, English, Arabic, German, and more. No experience is required. Please come and have conversations with our students. They are more than happy to meet you and welcome you to our city in Sukabumi. Play games and have basic conversations. Our students are just learning these languages, so if you know any of them, you will be a huge help to our students!

  we teach German, Indonesian, Arabic, Japanese, and English. We are looking for fluent speakers who can offer the correct pronunciations of words and practice basic conversations. Don't feel that you need to be an expert. We are not looking for professional teachers, but professional teachers are definitely welcome. Play games, have basic conversations, laugh, and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience in the heart of western Java!

  Hébergement

  Free dorm accommodation is provided. It's likely you'll stay with other volunteers. The weather is nice and cool most days. Sometimes it's hot, but a fan can be provided. The beds are soft and comfy. Towels and clean sheets will be prepared for you. Three incredible all-you-can-eat meals are provided.

  Come and play sports with the students. The school offers archery, guitar, chess, badminton, soccer, basketball, ping pong, and more.

  Please dress modestly. Girls and guys, please do not wear shorts above the knees. Girls, please no cleavage or stomach showing. Please do not wear tight clothing. Sorry for the inconvenience. We are a traditional Islamic boarding school and have some basic clothing rules.)

  Working time is no more than 4 to 5 hours a day, usually in the morning, and often less than 4 hours. You will have plenty of time to work on a separate job or project. The internet is strong, fast, and stable. For the best internet, I recommend a Telkomsel SIM card, which offers a perfect internet solution. The data plan is cheap and works 99% of the time.
