  Description

  My husband (Mark) and I (Cathy) live with our 3 dogs in Melbourne, FL less than a 15 drive to the beach. Mark is retired and I work part-time for myself from home. Our home is pretty big (4 bedroom, 3 bathrooms) given it's just the two of us and our yard is nearly 1/2 acre with a pool. Mark and I are both active with our hobbies. Mark is a nature buff who volunteers giving guided walks in several local nature preserves. I enjoy crafting and blogging, and we are both involved in various dog sports. Also, Mark and I love to travel and I recently completely two workaways in Italy. I really enjoyed the cultural exchange that I experienced in my two Italian workaways, and we've decided we'd like to have a cultural exchange here at home.

  We are happy to include workawayers in our hobbies if they are interested. If you want to learn about Florida nature (especially plants), Mark is your guy! I love to cook and am happy to teach anyone who wants to learn. Also, I'm into many different types of crafts which I'd love to share.
  
  Although Melbourne isn't a big city, there is plenty to do in the area, including great beaches, arts/crafts festivals, water sports, and lots of opportunities to listen to live music and enjoy the outdoors. There is a large shopping mall and several restaurants within walking distance from our house. While we do have bus service, it isn't the most convenient. When my schedule permits, I'm willing to drop off/pick you up from where you want to go. Uber is also available.

  We're looking for someone who speaks Italian as their native language so that we can practice speaking Italian. We would also like someone who can help us with miscellaneous household chores and yard help.

  Hébergement

  You'll have a private bedroom and a bathroom for your sole use. We will have enough food on hand for you to eat 3 meals a day, but we will typically only sit down to eat together for dinner (most nights, but not all). We eat everything, but we can accommodate vegetarians. We cannot accommodate vegans or those with a gluten-free diet.

  We prefer 2 week stays, but will consider up to 3 weeks.
