We live in a big, old, country house with a large garden and grounds. There is a small lake in the grounds, a rose garden, fruit garden and a wild flower meadow. There is also a small young oak wood. We are close to the small town of Borris ( 5kms) away and to Rathanna, a small village with a lovely old fashioned pub.

Travellers can practice their English and learn a little Irish if they so wish.Our land and gardens is totally free from chemicals and sprays and travellers could benefit from learning about Eco practices in a lovely rural part of Ireland.
We would love some help with grass cutting, strimming, splitting logs,, hedge cutting and general gardening projects.

Own room with ensuite bathroom . The bedroom is heated when necessary. All modern conveniences available to the traveller. There is Wifi in the bedroom and in the house. Travellers will be available to share meals with us and tea and coffee available whenever required. Just help yourself.All produce is organic. We are also vegetarian.
Helpers can enjoy visiting the local town of Borris and there is a bus into the city of Kilkenny - 24 kms away.. There is also a train to Dublin from the nearby town of Bagenalstown ( 11 kms) away.There is plenty of lie Irish music in the local pubs at the weekend. There are lots of mountains to climb and places for wild swimming.
