  Description

  We live on 12 acres in beautiful Northern Rivers area of New South Wales near to Byron Bay. We have a mixture of large established gardens and well maintained horse paddocks. We have chickens and guinea fowl and horses on agistment . We will provide separate self catering accommodation that would suit a couple or 2 people sharing. You would need a car as we are a 25 min drive to Byron Bay , 15mins to Lennox Head , 20mins to Ballina , 10mins to the cute village of Newrybar,and 15mins to Bangalow.

  We have 4 adult sons, all who have travelled extensively and speak Spanish. 2 of our sons live in the area and visit regularly with their children .We have travelled widely and enjoy meeting travellers and exchanging stories. Our daughter in law is Argentinian and two of our grandchildren are Spanish speaking. The Northern Rivers has a lively cultural scene and we can assist in meeting people .
  I am an industrial designer by qualification and having grown up on a farm I have many skills to share. We have a lively social life with lots of visitors coming and going - we have a large swimming pool which is an attraction for family and friends in summer.

  Aide

  We would love help in the garden and paddocks with light landscaping, mowing , fencing and as our buildings are very old we do also have small building and repair work . I am retired and work daily on the property so will be here to work with you as needed and hope to learn some new skills from you too. We own a tractor for paddock slashing and moving mulch, and many other back saving tasks.

  Separate fully self contained furnished cottage (green house) situated 50m from main house and newly renovated Includes one bedroom with Queen size bed and a single in the living area . Lovely rural outlook. We will not be providing meals other than at an occasional gathering .

  You will need to have a car for this stay. No public transport locally. The region is rich in natural beauty including surf beaches, mountains, quaint villages, and many cultural activities with produce markets and music festivals.
