Help with our agroforestry project and babysitting in Ilhéus, Brazil

  Description

  Hey. I'm Nathan. I currently live in a farm located in Ilhéus Bahia. I currently live with my son who is a baby named Igor with just over 1 year old. We are in a very special place in the middle of the Atlantic forest with waterfalls and paradisiacal beaches. We are close to Serra Grande which is close to Itacaré. The whole region is very beautiful full of natural beauties and also of culture. In Serra Grande, which is the closest place and where we frequent more intensively, there are several cultural movements such as capoeira, maracatu, samba, forró, agroforestry, constructions with bamboo and many others. It's really amazing here, we have one of the greatest biodiversities on the planet. Our project is to build an agroecological site that can be truly sustainable and that can serve as a place for disseminating this type of knowledge. We currently have a mud house and a covered porch that I built with my neighbor. We are in the moment to start planting and building more structure. Agroforestry is the technique that I want to apply and that I believe is the necessary revolution in agriculture. We are planning to hold agroforestry courses and build structures to receive these costs. This is all beautiful but it's hard to do. Your help can make all the difference in this construction that is just beginning.
  
  Oi. Sou Nathan. Vivo atualmente em um sítio que fica em Ilhéus Bahia. Atualmente vivo com meu filho que é um bebê chamado Igor com pouco mais de 1 ano. Estamos em um lugar muito especial no meio da mata atlântica com cachoeiras e praias paradisíacas. Estamos próximos a Serra Grande que é próximo de Itacaré. Toda a região é muito linda cheia de belezas naturais e também de cultura. Em Serra Grande, que é o local mais próximo e que é onde frequentamos com mais intensidade, tem diversos movimentos culturais tais como capoeira, maracatu, samba, forró,agroflorestas, construções com bambú e muitos outros. Aqui realmente é incrível, temos uma das maiores biodiversidades do planeta. Nosso projeto é construir um sítio agroecológico que possa ser realmente sustentável e que possa servir de local de difusão desses tipos de conhecimentos. Atualmente temos uma casinha de barro e uma varanda coberta que eu mesmo que construí com meu vizinho. Estamos no momento de começar a plantar e a contruir mais estrutrura. Agrofloresta é a técnica que eu quero aplicar e que eu acredito que seja a revolução necessária na agricultura. Estamos planejando a realização de cursos de agrofloresta e a construção de estruturas para receber estes cusos. Isso tudo é lindo mas é difícil de fazer. Sua ajuda pode fazer toda a diferença nessa construção que está apenas começando.

  Living for a few days in a place in the middle of the Atlantic Forest and participating in the day-to-day challenges of building a pioneering project like this is undoubtedly enriching for anyone who understands it.

  Aide

  At the moment help with the baby would be very valuable, as well as digital work aimed at promoting the project and agroforestry courses. All kinds of help is welcome. At the moment I am unable to offer 3 meals a day per exchange. We can reduce contribution/work time to 3 hours a day and we can combine everything in a way that works for everyone.
  
  No momento ajuda com o bebê seria muito valiosa, assim como trabalhos digitais que visem promover o projeto e os cursos de agrofloresta. Todo tipo de ajuda é bem vinda. No momento não tenho condições de oferecer 3 refeições diariamente por troca. Podemos reduzir o tempo de contribuição/ trabalho para 3 horas por dia e podemos combinar tudo de uma forma que fique bom pra todos.

  I think it's important to emphasize that this is mainly a work place. Of course we also have time to enjoy the paradise we are in. However, I believe that our project is very relevant and that it needs a lot of energy to gain strength and I believe that the main nourishment for those who come should be the perception that they are really contributing to building something new and that it is in line with the current needs of being human.
  
  Acho importante frisar que aqui é um local principalmente de trabalho. Claro que também temos tempo pra curtir o paraíso em que estamos. Porém acredito que nosso projeto é bastante relevante e que precisa de muita energia para que ganhe força e acredito que o principal alimento de quem vier deva ser a percepção de que está realmente contribuindo em construir algo novo e que se alinha com as nescecidades atuais do ser humano.
