  Description

  My name is Pieter. I have lived in London for 12 years and then decided to move to a small farm in rural Sweden where I have lived for the last 6 years. I enjoy travelling, different cultures and nature. I aim for an organic and sustainable lifestyle where possible.
  
  The small farm is located 2km from a small village (with the essentials), surrounded by forest and bordering on the local river / lake.
  
  I have 2 older cats.
  
  In addition to the cultural experience I can offer exposure to taking care of pets and general upkeep.

  I am able to let you enjoy small farm life in Swedish Lapland in winter, one of the last wilderness areas in Europe. Living a life close to nature and wildlife, enjoying the outdoor activities the local area can offer including fishing, swimming in the lake (local sandy beach area a short walk / bike ride away), local hiking areas. You have to opportunity to explore and learn about the South African and Swedish culture in the process.

  Accommodation will be the main house / cottage.
  Fast internet is available.
  Food will be provided, however you will need to prepare your own food on occasion.

  The local bus stop in the village connects you with Umea, Vilhelmina or Dorotea.
  There are local hiking trails, fishing spots and a beach area for swimming.
  The local shops are just over 2 km away.
  You need to be an animal lover.
  We expect people to treat my animals and property with respect and in turn i WILL respect you and your property.
  Flight from Arlanda to Umea or Vilhelmina (Amapola.nu). Busses from Umea or a taxi ride from Vilhelmina Airport to Åsele.
  Only reliable and self respecting people who clean after them self need to reply.
  We want the experience to be great for all parties and therefore good and open communication is essential even before you arrive.
