Description
About Me & My Home
Hi! My name is Andrés, I’m around 40 years old and live with my affectionate cat, Haku. I work remotely as an accountant and really enjoy meeting new people, exchanging experiences, and welcoming travelers into my home.
I recently moved into a large, old but beautiful house that I’m slowly turning into a cozy home. There’s a private guest room available for Workawayers. The room has a bed, a small armchair, and a table or desk in case you work remotely. The toilet and the kitchen are shared, of course. The atmosphere in the house is relaxed, friendly, and based on mutual respect.
My Project
This is a new long-term project: restoring and maintaining my house. It needs love and care, so most of the help I’m looking for is practical and hands-on.
I’m mainly focused on gardening — turning the soil, moving plants, adding new ones, and helping the garden grow in a healthy way. There are also painting tasks, both inside and outside the house, as well as some small masonry or repair work. Occasionally I might need assistance with simple electrical tasks; no experience is needed, since it’s just helping me with things I can’t do alone.
Any ideas or suggestions for decoration are absolutely welcome. And while it’s not required, I’d love if, at least once, you could cook something typical from your country—only if the ingredients are available here.
I joined Workaway because I’ve used Couchsurfing for many years, mainly to meet people, connect with travelers, and share experiences. Workaway feels like a perfect mix: meeting people from different countries or even different regions of Argentina, learning about other cultures and habits, spending quality time, and receiving some help with the house while also offering a warm home to stay in.
⚠️ Please note: not suitable for people with cat allergies — Haku is very affectionate and loves company.
During the week I’m usually busy with work, but on weekends I have more time to share, chat, or explore the city. I’m always happy to give tips about places to visit, restaurants, or even go for a walk together.

Possibilité d’accueillir les digital nomads
Ideal for digital nomads, the house offers a private room where you can work without interruptions — except for my cat, who dislikes closed doors and might want to come in occasionally. Other than that, you’ll have a stable internet connection that only drops two or three times a month. The room includes a bed, a small armchair, and a proper desk for comfortable remote work. I also work digitally, but in a different area of the house, so you’ll have full privacy or we can share the space if it feels comfortable.

Espace pour garer des vans
The area is quiet and safe, you can park on my street, it is a public area.

Haku
Haku is a very sociable cat. He doesn’t like being alone and usually follows you to whatever room you’re in. Sometimes he just sits quietly, but often he climbs on your legs looking for attention and a bit of play.
