Description
Hi! I’m Andrés, around 40, working remotely as an accountant, living with my very friendly cat Haku. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and creating a relaxed, respectful environment at home. I try to be an easygoing host — good conversations, flexibility and mutual trust are important here.
I recently moved into a large old house that I’m gradually restoring. There’s a private guest room available (bed, armchair, desk if you work remotely). Kitchen and bathroom are shared.
The house is in Carapachay (Buenos Aires Province) — a quiet residential area but well connected. A nearby train takes you to downtown Buenos Aires (Retiro area) in about 30 minutes, so you get a calm neighborhood without being far from the city.
⚠️ Not suitable if you have cat allergies — Haku takes hosting very seriously 🙂

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
A relaxed, friendly home atmosphere, cultural exchange and flexibility with schedules. You’ll experience local life near Buenos Aires rather than a tourist setting. I’m always happy to share tips about the city or hang out when schedules allow. Good conversations, mutual respect and a comfortable stay are part of the experience — and if you enjoy cooking something from your country, even better 🙂

Aide
Mainly hands-on help with house renovation and maintenance. This includes outdoor painting (walls, doors, fences, metal railings), small demolition tasks, moving materials, basic DIY repairs and general upkeep. Some gardening tasks exist but are secondary for now.
No specific skills required, but a practical attitude, reliability and being comfortable with physical work are important. People who enjoy DIY, renovation or outdoor projects usually feel most comfortable here.
Right now I’m focused mainly on practical renovation and maintenance work: outdoor painting (walls, doors, fences, railings), small demolition tasks, moving materials, DIY fixes and general house improvement.
Some tasks can be physically demanding, so it helps if you enjoy hands-on work and don’t mind getting a bit dirty. Gardening is also part of the project but secondary for now.
No special skills required — attitude, reliability and practical mindset matter much more. People who like DIY, building, fixing or outdoor projects usually enjoy this experience the most.
Schedules are flexible; we coordinate together so it works for both of us.

I can help with teaching or practicing Spanish because it is my native language. I would like if you speak English to practice conversation, it is important to tell me my mistakes so I can improve.
Hébergement
Due to space limitations and because I work from home, I can’t host more than one person at a time. Having several people around makes it difficult for me to focus on my work.
Private guest room inside the house with bed, small armchair and desk if you work remotely. Shared kitchen and bathroom. The house is in Carapachay, a quiet residential area about 30 minutes by train from downtown Buenos Aires, so it’s calm but still well connected to the city.
A comfortable stay, local Buenos Aires experience outside the tourist bubble, flexibility, cultural exchange, good conversations and a friendly home atmosphere. And if you ever want to cook something typical from your country, that’s always welcome 🙂

Possibilité d’accueillir les digital nomads
Ideal for digital nomads, the house offers a private room where you can work without interruptions — except for my cat, who dislikes closed doors and might want to come in occasionally. Other than that, you’ll have a stable internet connection that only drops two or three times a month. The room includes a bed, a small armchair, and a proper desk for comfortable remote work. I also work digitally, but in a different area of the house, so you’ll have full privacy or we can share the space if it feels comfortable.

Haku
Haku is a very sociable cat. He doesn’t like being alone and usually follows you to whatever room you’re in. Sometimes he just sits quietly, but often he climbs on your legs looking for attention and a bit of play.
