  Description

  My husband and I are renovating our house and because of Covid and wiring full time, we have fallen behind schedule and we need to get it finished. We need some helping hands to get it finished from plastering walls to painting etc. in exchange you’ll get free accommodation in an expensive part of the world but one which is truly beautiful. You can get to know Geneva and Lausanne or the lake area as well as the alps and the Jura mountains, which are right on the door step. We can help develop language skills like English, German, French or Italian. Don’t hesitate to ask me any questions!

  Aide

  Help to finish off a renovation project like painting or plastering. Help with maintenance around the house - odd jobs and maybe some cleaning and tidying up after trade people have been in the house. We have a small dog so maybe some dog walking. We are super flexible and generally easy going but open to negotiation and make sure everyone is happy!

  Hébergement

  Private bedroom with double bed, desk, wardrobe and TV. Bathroom is meters away although is shared with one other person.
  
  Breakfast - cereal or toast and self service. Lunch will be boxed up (usually left overs from dinner the night before or a ham/cheese/humus sandwich and fruit) evening meal around the table to share experiences and talk about the day. Could be roast chicken or vegan Thai curry - changed every day and is generally healthy with the odd burger or fondue thrown in especially on Friday night. However, can plate up and leave if you are out and about for when you get home. A glass of wine or 2 on the weekends.

  La Rippe is a small village at the foot of the Jura mountains. Loads of walks, hikes or bike rides on the Swiss /French border. Bus can take you to the lake front in 20mins throughout the day or 30-40 mins on a bike. Free transport I Geneva every morning to explore the city and a lift home at night. Would only need to purchase bus pass. To explore the wider area like the Swiss Alps we can help get a train pass for $40 for unlimited travel -train, boats, cable cars busses etc. lots of options and can answer all questions and help you make the most of your adventure.
