Just noticed that my review for Noah and Michael isn't here....sorry guys. You are two wonderful genuine polite hard working guys. We so enjoyed your company and having you stay with us. Really enjoyed learning so much about Canada too. Noah and Michael achieved so much for us in the week they stayed, they are very proficient at using power tools
… read more in the garden, our monstrous hedge finally got it's prune finished as did another very long one. They worked so hard to finish all the jobs we had for them.in the garden even on the days when the weather was not great.
We wish them all the best and would welcome them back any day. Good luck guys.

We stayed with Jill and Peter for just a week and had a wonderful time. The space they provided for us had a room for each of us , well equip kitchen and a comfortable living space where we watched a few movies over our stay. They stocked our fridge with food for our breakfasts and we ate lunch and dinner with them in the main house. It was a very
… read more pleasant week on their beautiful property. The tasks we were able to do was extremely satisfying and they were happy to answer any questions we had, they would kindly check in on us and make sure we had everything we needed. We went to the local Irish pub to watch the France South Africa quarter final game with Peter one night, and went into Toulouse on our day off. If you like the French countryside, helping outside, and great views, this is a perfect place for you to stay. Sorry I'm a bit late in leaving my feedback but finally got there.
Tom and Selma stayed with us for three weeks. They are two lovely very genuine, helpful people, loads of character, fun and polite. They got stuck into the work we had planned for them with Tom surprising us with how hard he works and no matter what the weather was.
Tom mowed
… read more lawns, pruned our fruit trees, dug over big lumps of soil into fine garden area for new plantings, pulled out weeds, dug trenches for piping and filled again, cut up 4-5 cubic metres of firewood, cleaned out a shed which was a mess, and a lot more. Selma helped with the same tasks but also sanded and painted shutters, weeded and cleared large garden areas, and cleaned inside the old house being renovated after tradespeople had finished. All tasks were completed with attention to detail and following instructions, couldn't have asked for more. They even cooked us some lovely meals. We really enjoyed their company, and would love to see them again, they are welcome back anytime.

We stayed with Peter and Jill for three weeks in their beautiful converted farmhouse. We were given a completely self contained "gite" which was spacious and perfectly equipped for two or more people. It even had a pool attached! We were also given a generous food and living allowance that easily provided for our food and wine throughout our

Both Peter and Jill were incredibly hospitable, and were happy to take time out of their busy schedule to show us the surrounding areas and some of their favourite spots. We were even lucky enough to be taken on a trip to San Sebastian, just a hop across the Spanish border. The setting is remote, but surrounded by sleepy villages and towns well furnished with supermarkets and essential shops. Jegun, the nearest village has a shop, restaurants and a lively bar. The nearest big town, Auch also has a well connected railway station, making visiting cities further afield very possible.
We both found the work and pace of life very managable even though one of us had come straight from office work. Both Peter and JIll were clear in explaning what they would like help with, and reasonable in their expectations from both of us. It was deeply impressive to see the many years of toil that has gone into creating their vision, and both of us cannot wait to see the house when finished.
We left both in love with the area and house, and deeply greatful to Peter and Jill for their delicious meals, warm company and generous hospitality. We'll also miss their lovely cat Kiri and friendly chooks. We'd also like to thanks Jill for frantically driving round mechanics to help us get our car fixed when it decided to play up as we were leaving. We wouldnt have been able to get it fixed without you!
