  Description

  We are a hostel located in the municipality of el Paso, between S/C de la Palma (26 km by road) and the Llanos de Aridane (4.7 km). Heart of the island of Palma and the valley of Aridane on the western slope, a strategic and central place to know the island and the various and numerous routes and natural spaces of the region.
  The house is located in the historic center of El Paso, is an old and beautiful restored colonial house, with large rooms and rooms, bright and large windows, and has 5 rooms, (two shared and three private). It also has a spacious kitchen and living-dining room (with kettle, coffee machine, kitchenware, stereo, books, games ...), a reception room and a sun terrace with tables and beautiful views of the town and the mountains. The house has free Wi-Fi throughout.
  Fran is the co-owner and manager of the hostel. Sculptor and art teacher, he combines his profession with the management and maintenance of the Hostel. He tries to make the hostel a unique and special place where guests feel comfortable and as if they were at home. They also rely on "work away" collaborators who are responsible for cleaning and receiving guests.
  
  IMPORTANT!
  We don't take couples or friends as helpers, just solo travellers.
  Minimum age 21 years old.
  It is necessary to speak at least intermediate Spanish and English to work in our hostel. Thank you.
  
  
  Un hostal/albergue que se encuentra en el municipio de el Paso, entre S/C de la Palma (a 26 km por carretera) y los Llanos de Aridane (a 4,7km), en el corazón de la isla de la Palma y de el valle de Aridane en la vertiente oeste, un lugar estratégico y céntrico para conocer la isla y las diversas y numerosas rutas y espacios naturales de la comarca. La casa que está ubicada en pleno centro historico de el Paso, es una antigua y bonita casona colonial restaurada, de amplios salones y habitaciones, luminosas y de grandes ventanas, y dispone de 5 habitaciones, ( dos compartidas y tres privadas). Asimismo cuenta con cocina y salon-comedor espacioso de uso común ( con hervidor de agua, cafetera, menaje de cocina, equipo de música, libros , juegos…) , una habitación de recepción y una terraza solarium con mesas y vistas al bonito paisaje circundante de el pueblo y las montañas. La casa dispone de wifi gratis en todo el recinto.
  Fran es el copropietario y responsable de La hostal. Escultor y profesor de arte, compagina su profesión con la dirección , gestión, administración y mantenimiento del Hostel. Trata de hacer del albergue un lugar único y especial donde los huéspedes se sientan cómodos y como en su propia casa. También se apoyan en colaboradores “work away” que se encargan de las labores de limpieza y recepción.
  ¡IMPORTANTE!
  No aceptamos parejas o amigos como ayudantes, solo viajeros solos.

  To improve the Spanish language, to know the island of La Palma and to practice own activities of the place. Carry out cultural workshops of indigenous sports and guided visits by the hosts to nearby natural and cultural areas, such as the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, the Barranco de Torres, the old indigenous engravings of La Fajana and Verde, the Porís de Candelaria, To go with the host and his friends to concerts and cultural activities of the ones realized in different points of the island. You can meet local people, their history, customs, landscapes and grow personally in an interesting, exotic and quiet place.
  
  Mejorar el idioma español, conocer la isla de La Palma y practicar actividades propias del lugar. Realizar talleres culturales de deportes autóctonos y visitas guiadas por los anfitriones a zonas naturales y culturales cercanas, como el Parque Nacional de la Caldera de Taburiente, el Barranco de Torres, los antiguos grabados indígenas de La Fajana y el Verde, el Porís de Candelaria, ir con el anfitrión y sus amistades a conciertos y actividades culturales de las realizadas en diferentes puntos de la isla. Podrán conocer a gente del lugar, su historia, costumbres, paisajes y crecer personalmente en un lugar interesante, exótico y tranquilo.

  L’hôte a indiqué qu'il paierait au moins le salaire horaire minimum de son pays pour chaque heure travaillée et que l’hébergement serait fourni. Il demande de l'aide dans le cadre de son entreprise ou activité professionnelle.   We are looking for mature and responsible people ideally with minimum age of 21, preferably previous experience in service industry, that like to clean, good level in English and Spanish. In the Hostel you have the chance to improve all of your languages with guests, employees and local friends.
  We are also looking for people who know how to grow vegetables to help in the garden.
  
  Nos interesan personas que colaboren con nosotros y que sepan idiomas para echanos una mano en recepción y en las tareas de mantenimiento y limpieza de la casa.
  Estamos también buscando gente que sabe cultivar verduras para ayudar en jardín.

  Hébergement

  Volunteers stay in a private room (the attic) that is above the kitchen and next to the terrace or shared room with other guests. We also give you a monthly payment, which is an economic contribution around the minimum wage, making the payments distributed every week so that you have to cover your weekly expenses. Then you can also enjoy the common food that we put at the service of the guests.
  
  El ayudante tiene una habitación privada (el ático) que está encima del cocina y al lado de la terraza o compartida con otros huéspedes. Asimismo le damos una paga mensual, que supone un aporte económico en torno al salario mínimo al final del mes, haciendo los pagos repartidos cada semana para que tenga para cubrir sus gastos semanales para comida, transporte y demás, teniendo también en cuenta la estancia . Luego aparte podrá también disfrutar de la comida de uso común que ponemos al servicio de los huéspedes.
