    Description

We are family-owned and operated. Since our camp opened its tents in 2003, we’ve treated every customer as though he or she is a part of our family. We are located in Jordan's beautiful Wadi Rum desert, surrounded my mountains and valleys. We provide accommodation, and desert tours by camel and 4x4 jeeps. Our camp is designed to give an authentic bedouin experience and introduce guests to our culture. Our electricity is from solar panels and we do not use a generator.

Volunteers will have the ability to interact with local people living in traditional villages. This will provide a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange.

Hospitality is very important and volunteers can expect to be invited in to home for tea and cookies. The majority of cultural exchange will take place over a glass of sweet bedouin tea.

We are looking for friendly, motivated people who enjoy new experiences and are happy to contribute their energy and creativity to help us grow.

Right now, we mainly need help in two areas:

Caring for our goats (about 5 hours per day, split into 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon)

Helping us connect with travel agencies from your country to promote our tours and camp to new audiences

If either of these sounds interesting to you, we’d love to have you join us!

We’re always happy to hear about your skills — whether you’re good with animals, computers, photography, marketing, social media, or just bringing good vibes, we’ll find the right way for you to contribute. If you're tech-savvy, there's also the possibility to help us improve our website and social media presence.

Volunteers are welcome to stay in our camp in the desert and optionally split time between the camp and our office in Wadi Rum village.
We provide room and board, and there is no minimum or maximum stay.

Internet is limited in the camp (it may work sometimes and not others), but you’ll find a stable connection in the village.

We’re excited to meet open-minded, self-motivated people who are ready to help, learn, and enjoy this unique cultural exchange in the heart of the Wadi Rum desert!

In their free time, our volunteer has the opportunity to take 4x4 jeep tours with us into the desert. On the tour, they can enjoy local sites, including the house that Lawrence of Arabia stayed in and the spring he is reputed to have drunk from. Hiking provides an excellent chance to take in the vastness and beauty of the desert. Our tour guides will teach volunteers about the lifestyles of people who have lived in the area for generations.

The beautiful Petra, considered to be one of the new wonders of the world, is also accessible. Hiking in Petra and seeing the ruins will give volunteers the opportunity to learn about the ancient Nabatean culture.

Other cities, such as Aqaba, Amman, Madaba, Ma'an, and more are accessible by bus.
