  Description

  I am an international communitarian currently living in a loosely knit community setting on a private property with a large garden and two living units. I have been a hostess for many years. I am currently looking for folks willing to help keep up the house and the large garden and the maintenance of the house in exchange for the use of a small(ish) bedroom in a shared house in Salem Oregon.
  
  I welcome travelers of all ages, genders and origins willing to help in exchange for room and board. I expect you to help 20 hours a week.
  
  Oregon has so much to offer and Salem is super central. In a little over an hour you can be at the beach surfing or in the Cascades skiing, in Portland getting your concerts on or in Eugene mingling with the hippies.
  
  The tasks around here involve a lot of gardening tasks such as weeding, raking, sweeping, planting, spreading woodchips, manure or mulch, pulling up wild tree starts (planted by god’s gardener’s - the squirrels) trimming trees (without climbing) etc. There are lots of small handyman tasks such as ratproofing the exterior, installing a prefab shower, building shelves, etc. Those of you with some skills will have preference. I got all the tools. There are always house cleaning tasks as well, particularly during foul weather times. If desired and/or preferred, you could park your rig in my driveway and share the facilities in the house as needed.
  
  The room is free November 8 to December 2 and again after December 12th. On other dates I can only accommodate folks with their own rigs.

  Travelers will have a wonderful free place to stay and shared meals at least once daily. I can share my community with you. I am happy to share my knowledge and experience. I want to learn from YOU.

  I have a big old house in Salem OR. There are many garden tasks that need to get done including but not limited to: sweeping the sidewalk, watering , wedding, weeding, weeding, transplanting, mowing, tree trimming, stacking firewood, etc.

  Your own furnished room separate from the house.Shared bathroom and kitchen in the house.
