Gardening and small project help needed in a welcoming community on Texada Island, Canada

  Description

  My husband David and I have a home on 5 acres, on Texada Island, B.C. We have large gardens, a big old, friendly Golden Retriever, a sweet Tom cat, 4 hens and a Rooster. We are surrounded by nature. The beach and Shelter Point Park are minutes from our home. Texada Island has two unique communities on it; Gillies Bay and Van Anda. We are a 30 minute ferry ride from Powell River. We would love to host guests who have some knowledge of gardening. We have large vegetable gardens and some smaller flower beds. Our property has a lot of natural wilderness aspects as well. Texada Island is beautiful place to visit, we hope you will consider an opportunity to come and stay for awhile.

  Our community is very friendly and welcoming. We would be happy to spend time together and show our visitors the area. We would be thrilled to have them join us for community events as well.

  Aide

  We are looking for someone who would be interested in assisting with gardening projects. We may require someone to housesit as well for a maximum of two weeks.

  We have a three bedroom home that was built using lumber from the land as well as other locally sourced materials. We have vegetable gardens and chickens. Our home is close to beaches, lakes and numerous hiking trails.

  The beach is close by. There is a local farmers market on Sundays during the summer. Hiking, biking and boating is popular here on Texada.
