Description
We are a family living on a permaculture property in the foothills of Byron Bay. We are growing garlic and turmeric, keep chickens, bees, care for a variety of fruit trees and grow vegetables. We are working on regenerating areas of the property back to bush and rainforest. Other friends on the property include koalas, water dragons, brush turkeys, pythons and many birds, frogs and lizards.
We need help with maintenance, digging holes, weeding and bush regeneration projects as well as help in the family house with cooking and cleaning.

You will get to stay on a rural property 10mins drive from Byron Bay, 5mins from Bangalow. We love the northern rivers for its beaches, rainforests and rivers.
Aide
There are a variety of tasks we need help with. Over the next few weeks we need help harvesting and processing tumeric and then harvesting garlic late November. Lots of planting, weeding, general maintenance, cleaning and pruning, mowing, brushcutting.. please let us know what your skills are and we can find you something to help with.
Would also love someone who loves cooking for a family.

Hébergement
Stand alone single bedroom next to our family's cottage. Please note we are on tank water and depending on the season, we appreciate no water waste.

Work hours will vary depending on the job and the day. Some days might be long hours but that will mean less work on other days.
In your free time you are welcome to explore the property, swim in the pool or join in the fun that is happening at the time. If you do not have your own car, lifts from the property into town can be organised. While working at Foothills it is likely you will work with different family members on different jobs on different days depending what is happening that week. We are all friendly and look forward to meeting you.
