  Description

  We are an Italian / Venezuelan couple with 2 kids (12 and 10 years old) that are with us 50% of the time, 2 dogs and 3 cats that live outside the house
  
  We are ovo lacto vegetarians, we enjoy cooking and our specialities are: Venezuelan, Italian and Indian dishes.
  
  We live in a very green area called Vega de San Mateo in the center of Gran Canaria, up the mountains (around 1000m sea level)
  
  We are 45 minutes away by bus from the capital and there are buses every 30 minutes.
  This island is well known for its touristic beaches, natural pools and good weather in the south but there is much more to it, around our house
  there are plenty of hiking trails, typical little cute villages, protected national park and pine wood.

  We are a multicultural / multilanguage family (Spanish, Italian and English are spoken in the house) we both have our own spiritual practices: Budhism and Hare Khrisna.
  We both love sharing the passion for cooking and eating international vegetarian food.
  Alessandro likes running (especially up to the mountains) and walking too and Maria does Yoga
  We have travelled and lived abroad and we do enjoy cultural exchanges

  Aide

  - we would like some help to improve our vegetable garden, garden and building projects (sheds, fences, etc)
  - we are also looking for a native English speaker nanny, so the kids learn and practice what would be their third language

  Hébergement

  The Workawayers can stay in a private room with a double size sofa bed and will share a bathroom with the kids (that are with us 50% of the time)
  The food (ovo lacto vegetarian) is included, we take care of breakfast and lunch and the dinner is self-service style keeping the ovo lacto vegetarian diet.

  Autres infos...

  How the Workawayers can spend their time off is completely up to them, there are plenty of choices, from surfing to hiking. We just ask to follow a family time schedule that means not arriving late at night.
