  Description

  Hi there! We are Bianca and Richard, a couple from the Netherlands who recently bought our home in Busot, Spain. This is a new chapter for us, and we are really excited to build a life here surrounded by sunshine, nature and a different pace of living.
  
  Richard has a background as an entrepreneur in IT and enjoys exploring AI and automation, but also loves going for walks and trying out good restaurants. Bianca has a background in product management and enjoys spending time at the beach, biking and cooking or baking. We truly value meaningful conversations and are curious about different cultures, perspectives and ways of life. We share our home with our adorable indoor cat Diana, who can even do a few tricks 😊
  
  One of the reasons we fell in love with this place is the incredible amount of sunlight and blue skies throughout the year, but also the warmth and kindness of the people here. The surrounding nature is beautiful, with beaches nearby and impressive mountains that we can even see from our home. We’re quite sure you will fall in love with Busot too.

  Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre

  There is a vibrant international community in the area, with many expats organizing activities like hikes, lunches, social gatherings, sports and more. We frequently join these, and you are very welcome to join too, or explore them independently. There’s also a nearby animal centre where help is always appreciated, for example walking dogs.
  
  We speak Dutch and English and we are currently learning Spanish ourselves. We’re happy to share what we know about DIY, IT, entrepreneurship and personal development, but we are just as excited to learn from you. Especially about your culture, your perspective on life and of course your favourite food!
  
  Hosting through Workaway is new for us, but it’s something we’re really looking forward to. In our daily life, we already enjoy meeting new people and often have conversations with people we don’t know yet, we naturally like connecting with others and exchanging stories.
  
  This interactions gives us much of positivity, inspiration and energy. Furthermore we like to improve ourself and learn new things each day, we really think fresh perspectives can help us.
  
  And right now our new home does offer place to invite others, that’s also why this experience feels like such a good fit for us right now.

  Aide

  As we’ve just moved into our new home, we have quite a few ideas and plans to make it even more our own. We would really appreciate some extra hands. At the meanwhile we like sharing experiences, learning from each other and creating a nice and meaningful exchange. On this way we can enjoy combining daily life activities with cultural exchange. You will be part of our life, we do these things togehter.
  
  The kind of activities can vary, for example:
  - Thinking along or helping with house improvements/design
  - Cleaning and organizing
  - Painting
  - Gardening
  - Cooking together
  - Helping with Spanish (we are still learning!)
  -Or anything similar, we’re also open to your ideas and skills
  
  We are used to doing all these things ourselves, so if something is new for you, we’re happy to guide you. No stress 😉 and if there is something else you wpuld like to know, feel free to ask us anything you want.

  Hébergement

  Our house is located in a nice and calm neighbourhood. You will have your own private bedroom and we share a kitchen, large living space, bathroom and a home office.
  We usually have dinner between around 17:30 and 19:00. We absolutely love discovering new dishes, so if you enjoy cooking, we would love for you to share one of your favourites with us. Just let us know what you need, and we’ll make sure it’s in the house 😀
  
  We also have a big garden (no swimming pool yet, maybe one day!). Busot itself is a charming town with an authentic centre. Nearby you’ll find beautiful caves, mountains for climbing or hiking, and Alicante city is perfect for a day of shopping or an evening out with dinner and drinks.

  There is public transportation to Busot. It goes all via el campello.
  
  It is not allowed to smoke in the house, we just painted to get rid of that smell 😅
