Carole and Brian live in a beautiful small-holding, high up in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Granada in southern Spain. We have three store traditional Alpujarranean house, a swimming pool, a permaculture vegetable garden and fruit orchard.

We are looking for an individual or couple interested in Permaculture (it would be great if you have done a course) to help with our fruit orchard and vegetable garden, planting & harvesting and general farm maintenance. The Workawayer will be expected to work a maximum 5 hours a day, 5 days a week and the Hosts will provide ample accommodation and healthy meals with the family. A salary or pay is not included.

The cortijo is a 1 hectare small-holding with a three story house, the lower floor is available for Workawayers which consists of a large en-suite bedroom and an private terrace. Suitable for a single Workawayers or a couple. We also have a large swimming pool which is available from Jun until Oct.
The Cortijo is about 20 minute walk from the village of Capileirra (the second highest village in Spain and voted one of the most beautiful villages in Spain 2017). It is in the heart of the Poquiera Valley in the Alpujarra region of Andalusia, a one hour drive from Granada. The area is famous for hiking, cycling, horse riding, or climbing the Mulhacen, the highest peak in Iberia towering at 3,479 metres above sea level.
