  Description

  In Tamil, "Illam" means home, and that's exactly the vibe we’re going for here in the hills of Kodaikanal. We’re a cozy homestay built around slow living, good conversations, and just soaking in nature. We're ready to grow. Our current project is expanding our little homestay into a nature-friendly campsite that can comfortably host up to 30 people at a time. It’s a big step for us, and we’re looking for some hands-on help from folks who share our vision and want to build something special. We are planning to connect with travellers who can also contribute their skills to make our project better.

  We focus on cultural exchange and outdoor activities exploring the serenity of kodai hills. Slow living, engagement with the local community exploring local food.

  Aide

  We're looking for volunteers with a few specific skills to help us pull the project of developing a campsite experience:
  
  Architects & Builders: To help us design and put together some cool, sustainable bamboo and wood structures.
  
  Landscapers: To help figure out the layout of the campsite and make the outdoor spaces feel natural and inviting.
  
  Artists & Creators: To add character to the place with nature-inspired art, murals, or installations.
  
  Hospitality & Admin Folks: To help us set up smooth daily operations, figure out logistics, and make sure guests have a great time once we scale up.

  Hébergement

  We provide safe and clean camping experience in tent near a water stream. Indulge in the local home made food provided.
  
  We provide 3 meals with tent stay. The food will be home cooked south indian style. Volunteers are always encouraged to give their hands in preparation learning and teaching their own cuisines.
