  Hello and welcome!
  We are a friendly and easy-going family living in Akureyri, the beautiful capital of North Iceland. We enjoy meeting people from different cultures and hope to welcome someone who would like to become part of our everyday family life for a while.
  
  We are looking for one experienced Workawayer aged 25 or older. As we receive many applications, we kindly ask that only applicants who meet this requirement get in touch.
  
  We are looking for someone who speaks good spoken English, enjoys practical tasks and takes pride in helping keep our home running smoothly.
  The main focus is everyday household tasks, such as preparing family meals, doing laundry, cleaning and keeping the house tidy. There will also be some light gardening and simple maintenance projects from time to time.
  As we usually prepare and enjoy the same family meals together, our home is generally a better fit for someone who enjoys a varied diet and is not vegetarian or vegan.
  
  We have three children at home, aged 12, 13 and 16. Our home is completely nut-free due to a severe allergy, so we really value someone who is reliable, responsible and happy to respect our household routines.
  
  Family life can sometimes be busy, but we have a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We hope to find someone who enjoys being around people, takes initiative and is comfortable working independently when needed. We enjoy spending time together, but we also understand that everyone needs time to themselves. You'll always have your own private space, and we respect each other's privacy and independence.
  
  Our home is located in a quiet residential area, close to beautiful nature, hiking trails, a golf course and many outdoor activities. Akureyri is a wonderful place to experience authentic Icelandic life, and public buses within the town are free.
  In return, you'll have your own private room, all meals provided, and plenty of time to explore North Iceland and experience everyday Icelandic family life.

  We would love to share everyday Icelandic family life with you. You'll have the opportunity to experience life in North Iceland beyond the usual tourist attractions.
  We are happy to introduce you to our favourite places, local traditions and beautiful nature. During your free time you can enjoy hiking, swimming, golf, cafés, the cinema, the library and everything Akureyri has to offer.
  Public buses within Akureyri are free, making it easy to explore the town.

  Aide

  We are looking for one friendly, reliable and practical Workawayer to help with the everyday running of our family home. The main tasks include preparing family meals, doing laundry, cleaning, keeping the house tidy and organised, as well as helping with light gardening and simple maintenance projects when needed.
  Every day is a little different, and we appreciate someone who takes initiative, enjoys practical tasks and is happy to work independently when needed. We work together as a team and hope you'll feel like part of our family while staying with us.

  You will stay in your own private bedroom in our spacious family home with a large garden in Akureyri.
  We provide high-speed Wi-Fi, all everyday meals and a comfortable place to relax after work.
  Our home is located in a quiet residential area, close to nature, walking trails and only a short distance from the town centre. Please note that we live in town – this is not a farm.
  
  We will provide all normal food.

  We hope our Workawayer will feel at home with us and become part of our family during their stay. We enjoy sharing meals, conversations and everyday life, while always respecting each other's privacy and independence.
  
  Akureyri is the perfect base for exploring North Iceland. During your free time you can visit waterfalls, geothermal baths, whale watching tours, hiking trails, cafés, museums and beautiful natural attractions.
  Depending on our schedules, we are also happy to recommend places to visit or occasionally take you along on family outings.
  
  We are looking for someone who is positive, honest, responsible and enjoys helping as part of a team. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

  We have reliable high- speed Wi-Fi throughout the house. You are welcome to work online during your free time, and there is a comfortable space where you can use your laptop. We simply ask the Workaday responsibilities always come first during the agreed working hours.
