I can hardly describe how much I enjoyed my two-week stay with Sam and Schnautzer Lungo. Not only did I have the opportunity to broaden my horizons in various areas of knowledge, such as mushrooms, mythology and history, but Sam also showed me how to play the handpan. In general, Sam was very keen that you as a person take something out of this

Friederike was a fantastic addition to our small team. She is an incredibly diligent worker and approached every task with grace. Sharing the space with her was a pleasure, as she maintained a great balance between group activities and quieter downtime. She was a joy to host, and I wish her all the best on her travels in the coming months

This was my first go at a work exchange for a little over two weeks, and I'm extremely grateful to have been initiated into the Workaway world with this unique opportunity.
First off, Lungo the mini Shnauzer, is such a little ball of joy. He took part in all of the projects acting as chief supervisor and is a wonderful, humurous companion to have

Sam is a well rounded, conscious and respectful human who has an innate ability to guide you toward higher states of consciousness and expand your mind. He furthered my awareness of meditation and breathwork as well as the mystical mythology and history encompassing Irish culture. With a background in herbalism, he showed me how to make an effective healing/ pain relief salve. I loved picking his brain about all things medicinal herbs.
In terms of the work involved, Sam was accommodating and flexible. We made a rough weekly plan and penciled a more solid schedule in the evening prior at tea.
The jobs we worked on included setting down a path with raw materials, prepping the patio area for rock cover, levelling out two areas to set up meditation Tipi tents, pruning along the driveway, keeping the home tidy, painting a section of his neighbour's fence as well as two of the bathrooms and assisting in the grooming of Lungo. We were also introduced to Sam's work involving social enterprises and environment focused projects; we had a hand in a few research bits. It's a fascinating line of work and it opened my mind up to how society is evolving.
Sam's place is such a gem. The room I stayed in was cozy, comfortable and private. The home itself is a beautiful, heritage house surrounded by nature, and endless forest to explore.
We cooked and shared dinner meals; it was awesome to soak up more ideas and cooking methods. Sam is a top chef.
I was able to take away much more than a work exchange experience. If you are into the alternative ways of being and thinking, this is an aligned environment to further your path.Laissé par l'hôte pour le workawayer (Camilla)
Camilla is a kind, respectful and considerate person who fitted well into our early stage workaway experience. She helped ideate on projects that needed to be mapped out, as well as take charge and get things done. Outside of the day work, she engaged in a number of different cultural and skills exchanges, and brought a wonderful energy to the

I have stayed in Sam's lovely house that was clean, tidy and operated in an environmentally friendly manner. The accommodation was very comfortable and all my needs were accommodated without any hassle.

Yana came to stay at the very beginning of this project and was a great help in ideating, brainstorming and mapping out the possibilities. She is a creative mind with a great understanding of Sustainability and the SDGs, and was a great addition in scoping out the various projects planned over the coming months. I would highly recommend Yana for
