Welcome aboard…
Originally my wife and I and our crew sailed our ship from our homeport of Vancouver, Canada to Mexico. There we were happy to host many Workawayers. Recently we made a 3,000-mile voyage along the coast of Mexico and Central America to Panama.
The ship is currently anchored in a bay in Panama City (close to Marina Flaminco) and we are living aboard it. This is our home away from home and we are taking each day as it comes.
We invite you to join us in this unique experience of living and working aboard a private expedition-style motor-vessel. We are looking for volunteer travellers / crew, men or women (couples welcome) to join us to live and help aboard our ship in Panama City, Republic of Panama (please do NOT confuse our location with Panama City, Florida).
Basic expectations:
Volunteer women and men must be wanting to help maintain and crew a 188-foot classic ship. It’s perfect for people who love ships and the lifestyle of living aboard a boat. You must enjoy being a “hands on” kind of person. This is a beautiful classic ship needing constant tender-loving care and maintenance so everyone’s help and participation is needed and appreciated.
This fall/winter and next spring we will be based in Panama City in the Republic of Panama.
We have an open door invite so come and go as you please. We ask for a 2-week minimum commitment.
Panama is best known for the Panama Canal. Panama City has lots of local flavor with all the modern conveniences. The area in and around Panama City has ample opportunities to explore and enjoy on your time off the ship.
This volunteer position is perfect for flexible, easy-going men and women of all ages. If that sounds like you - come live and help with us and share your talent and stories.
Notice to all sea and ship enthusiasts - International Maritime Law prohibits the disposal of oil and trash into the sea. Let’s keep our oceans clean

The volunteers' accommodations come in singe bed or two bed configurations.
We do have limited internet on board - however everybody chooses to have their own. Internet phone chips are very affordable in Panama.
The focus is on the life aboard the ship and touring the area. There are plenty of activities on shore to partake in during your time off. It's culturally vibrant place to explore so let's enjoy it together.
