Victor and Diana were a pleasure to host. They were very correct about rules, took initiative to do little tasks, respected my privacy… But mostly I experienced them as goodhearted people, curious and friendly. We had a lot of laughter together, but also shared moments of serious talk. I hope to meet them again.
We don’t know how to start this but it was pure magic since the first time. We met Edwin in the train station he greeted us with a nice hug, the most warm welcome we have received so far by a host.
Edwin hosted us for a month and half even when he wasn’t use to host for long periods. The tasks we did were so easy and he explained us when we
… read more didn’t have idea, he also let us chose what to do every day in accord with we know was needed and the weather. We also appreciated the little time with his loving grandson 💗 who was coming once a week.
Our friend took us to different breathtaking places and explaining us everything as a tour guide, he knows a lot about history and a bunch of topics more. It’s the first time we met a writer, someone so interesting with a lot of experiences to tell and all ears to listen to you too without judging, no cares where you’re from, so open mind.
He also helped us a lot with our English, he has really good English and accent: American/British.
We enjoy too much the meals he prepared for us, at the begging I think he was getting us fat to eat us, but we’re alive hahaha he just cared a lot about us, was so considered when Victor got sick, even gave him medicine.
If you are thinking about get isolated in your room all the time I don’t think this is not for you, since we just regret about working online so we could have even more time together, he appreciates the time together and teasing people haha just like Victor does, I’m so soft sorry, but I truly have Edwin in my heart and I see him as one of the most caring and wonderful person ever. Victor keep wearing his boots all the time. We said goodbye with tears in our eyes but we really wish you the best and hope to see you again our great friend Edwin ❤️
Yep, I couldn’t make it shorter, sorry.

I experienced Sam as a friendly, soft, polite person with an interesting life story. There was a good match and we could share a lot during his 10 day visit. The speed in wich he learned dutch was incredible. Sam likes to talk about many topics. He is a profound person, self-reflective and at a crossing point in his life. Very nice person to have
