  Description

  We are mother and son, both well travelled. We have traveled previously involved in many help/work exchanges as well as hosted many travelers ourselves. We have recently purchased a property/acreage along the west coast an hour north of Perth/15 minutes from Lancelin (beach) with full-time traveling on pause for now

  Perth's northern suburbs Yanchep/Butler 1 hour south
  Jurien Bay 1 hour north
  Perth CBD/Perth Airport 1.5 hours
  
  We are hoping for some help around the property. We are on 8 acres. Half of the land is native bush while the other half is semi cleared. We have only recently returned to the property and right now, find that there is a bit of tidying/cleaning/maintenance to do. It would be helpful to have an extra set of hands around. There are odd reno jobs in and around the house for those that are handy or have building experience
  
  
  
  Happy to host for one week at a time. There should only be 2-3 days of work, approx 10 hours per week (single person). For couples/families this would equate to a different amount

  In the past I have hosted many travelers but for childcare. All became a part of our small family and experienced a true cultural exchange.
  Unfortunately, with so many commitments I am unable to host like this over the coming months. Ideally the exchange is suitable for someone that'd like to save some money on accommodation and get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy country life, but very close to the ocean. Take a break and reset. The sky is clear at night, and you will only wake to the sound of wildlife surrounding you. It is very normal to spot kangaroos and rare birdlife/wildlife in/around our property.

  Aide

  Maintenance and small renovation type help inside the house and tidying/cleaning/organising around the shed/property
  It really depends on what you'd like to do as no job/task is urgent or necessary.
  
  Some work isn't glamorous, nor exciting, but it is only little hours each week
  
  
  Tasks could include (depending on what you'd like to do and your experience), cutting trees back, raking of fallen branches, and burning. Taking down and putting up new guttering. Replacing a few sheets of roofing. Removing and installing new front patio posts. Installing doors. Removing/replacing ceiling fans, light switches, taps. Building a privacy fence from recycled materials. Planting of trees/plants/shrubs. Preparing land to grow grass, including throwing seed out. Adding skirting boards inside the house. Installing kitchen cabinets, , installing bedroom wall shelving.
  Alot of small maintenance or handy tasks that may only take an hour or a few hours for each one
  
  
  There are some bigger DIY tasks above, but only really if you'd prefer to do and enjoy doing. Nothing is really necessary but are on my growing 'to-do' list, so whichever task(s) you'd like to do, let me know! I'm easy and appreciate any help!
  
  Tidying could include heavy lifting of material/metal behind and inside the shed, organising, taking photos listing for sale/giveaway. The property has been left with alot of 'junk' and rubbish that is in the sand unfortunately. It'd be nice to start on a 'blank canvas' before trying to regrow grass
  Picking up of the small rubbish though the sand (left by previous tenants unfortunately)
  
  
  Let me know what you are comfortable doing and we can figure out if a work exchange is possible for your preferred dates
