We have a huge kitchen garden on a beautiful farm in Prince Edward County in eastern Ontario. We also raise grass fed organic Black Angus cows. We also grow several heritage organic grains on the many hectares of land leading back to the hardwood bush. In the springtime, we make Maple syrup in our wood fired evaporator. We have a lovely friendly farm house and a rustic cabin right on the shore of the Bay of Quinte. The farm is well taken care of, but we need lots of help planting, maintaining and harvesting our bountiful vegetable garden.

Volunteers will live and stay on our beautiful farm in a lovely little cabin on the water. They will learn about organic vegetable gardening and preparing and eating straight from the earth. There is a cool and refreshing pond where we all swim after our gardening. We have a very large and loving family who come and go, and join in on the gardening and feasting throughout the summer.
Ce projet peut impliquer des enfants. Pour en savoir plus, consultez nos directives et conseils ici.
Although we would prefer volunteers who have a experience in growing a vegetable garden, we are very happy to train people in the help required, as long as they interested and committed to making the garden a success. This means lots of weeding and harvesting, and eating a lot of delicious fresh organic vegetables.

The cabin on the water has a queen size bed and a fold out couch. It has a simple bathroom and kitchen, and access to the Bay of Quinte for boating, fishing and taking in the sunset on the dock.
Our farm is located in Prince Edward County - one of the most vibrant and exciting rural communities outside of Toronto. The food and wine scene is very popular, and there are opportunities for bike trips to local wineries and beaches.
